Realm Trinity Chapter 16

Chapter 16 1

“I hope you had a pleasant ride here.” Yerix stated. He glanced at the humans most of whom stood rigid and observant. The General stepped towards him and questioned, “I assume that our visit is unexpected and may cause some problems. How are you planning to explain our arrival to your people?” 2

“There is a Ball in a week’s time and you will be our guests from a neighboring realm.” Yerix explained. 3

“We are not aware of your customs so we may need a crash course in edict. We also may not be able to eat your food because our bodies are different.” Cheryl mentioned. 4

“All this will be taken care of. Your weapons are of concern, they cannot injure us but they are loud and frightening. I would prefer that you leave them with my military. They will store them until you are prepared to leave. Now, your rooms are this way. Udrea will take the women to their quarters and I will take the men to theirs. Alternative clothing will be provided within the hour and I will send someone to bring you to dinner. Do these plans suit your needs General?” Yerix asked. 5

“Yes they will work for now. After my associates and I finish being situated then we would like a meeting with you.” Dobinson demanded. 6

“After dinner and a good night’s sleep we could discuss the situation?” Yerix suggested. 7

“Sounds doable.” General Dobinson agreed. 8

“Men, follow me.” Yerix shouted across the crowd. 9

“Women this way.” Udrea bellowed. 10

Miranda looked at Elizabeth. “So I am guessing that was the creature you saw, Yerix? Miranda inquired. 11

“Yes, he was the one I saw.” she responded. Elizabeth sighed as she shifted her pack and looked onward at the impressing city before her. “Destiny awaits” Elizabeth heard a familiar voice echo through her mind. 12

“Ashley.” Elizabeth whispered with a smile at the corner of her mouth. Elizabeth looked around at the light blue city. Udrea led them to a dark blue building. It was similar to an ancient spire. Udrea walked to the arch shaped doorway it appeared to have a waterfall spilling over it. Udrea reached forward and pulled the waterfall aside. “Come through here.” she ordered. They walked into a room with water running down the walls the floor looked like a lake with stepping-stones but their feet did not get damp. Miranda brushed her had against stone that had a moss formation on it. “I don’t understand how moss can grow here. This isn’t the proper environment for moss.” Miranda questioned aloud. 13

“It’s most likely genetic engineering.” Elizabeth suggested. 14

“These are your rooms. Clothing and baths are already set up in your rooms; dinner will be provided at sun down. Now I assume you have questions?” Udrea said crudely. 15

“No. I do not believe we have any questions.” Cheryl whispered coolly. Her hand was squeezing Sandra’s back. Udrea turned sharply and walked away. 16

“God she’s a Bitch!” muttered Sandra. 17

“Yes, but this is her land. We can’t afford to piss her off.” Cheryl admonished. 18

“Fine let’s just get to our room.” Sandra sighed. She looked into Cheryl’s eyes and paused. 19

“Yeah, let’s take a rest.” Miranda said with a smile. Elizabeth glanced at Cheryl and walked through the archway to her and Miranda’s room. 20

“What was that?” Elizabeth asked Miranda. 21

“I think there is something going on between Cheryl and Sandra. I heard rumors about Cheryl after her engagement was broke off, but I thought they were just that, rumors. 22

“Hmm, gossip, I never listen to it. I just hope they can keep their pants up until we are home. We don’t need any extra drama.”23
