An empty hallway

Simple stories untold,1

A heart of such tenderness is burning.2

The tedious lifestyle soon to be erased,3

Somehow this evacuation process is not helping.4

Through the window you can see the smoke,5

Deep inside your lungs you can feel the heat,6

Melting away at your very body.7

Standing still you hear the cries of a child,8

Walking down the hall, "Stay down, get close together"9

You can see two teachers talking as you listen closely...10

"The fire is building close, we are trapped from all sides,11

This is the end, We will all die!!!"12

You cry running down the hall as you hear the child crying again,13

Footsteps creak and stories leak...14

You see a hallway with a little girl standing there, 15

In a white dress, she couldn't be more than eight years old.16

She gives you a hand signal to follow her,17

You reach towards her hand and your arm turns black.18

Your veins turn ash and you try to run from the girl.19

You can hear a scream as a teacher behind you runs crying,20

"GOD HELP US!! IT'S CALLEY SHE'S DEAD!!!"21

You look at yourself, trying to move and talk to the teacher.22

She cries, as she kneels down beside you...23

No words are replied to,24

Just as you look down to see what it is she is holding, you see...25

Yourself, a child of 16, in the arms of a teacher.26

Taking another look at yourself you realize...Your gone.27

This whole time you were gone...Nobody was ignoring you when you tried to 28

warn them of the fire, they were trapped by it and you had just been in the wrong place, at the wrong time.29

They tried to look for you and they found you alright...30

Walking down the hall you see the girl again,31

She smiles up at you, and you again try to take her hand.32

Together you walk through the hallway, hoping you find a way out.33

A light shines through the hallway, as you follow it...34

You go home...A new home, a new hope...35

Sometimes death is not always bad, sometimes is saves you from a torture so cruel, so uncoath....That death, is you'r return to happiness....36
