“Okay class, its time to sit down. Be quiet. It’s time for class.” Miss 5

Etterson started in.6

Sharpay, the most beautiful girl in class they called her, was just sitting down as the bell rang for the last time. 7

“It’s so nice of you to join us for class, Miss Madison.” She said as she crossed the room.8

She giggled in the back of the room with all her little drama friends. Ludavyne, the class nerd, walked in with a note. 9

“I’m sorry Miss Etterson, I got a little sick from the car ride here. I had to take some medicine.” Ludavyne said as she shuffled her dirty shoes to her seat.10

“Here she is, Miss... Loser.” Sharpay said, and the drama kids soon laughed with her.11

Ludavyne didn’t really care about what Sharpay and the drama kids thought of her. She was her own person who had grown up just a little bit differently than all the other popular, rich kids in her class. This “teasing” nature wasn’t anything peculiar to her, it was just an ordinary day. But today Miss Etterson had something different planned for everyone. Today wasn’t going to be an ordinary day.12

“Today, I have a little project for everyone. We get to go explore 13

outside and have a little bit of a treasure hunt. You all get to have partners...” Miss Etterson said, but was interrupted by a bunch of cackling and talking. 14

“We’re so totally PARTNERS!” Sharpay giggled and grabbed one of her fellow drama friends. 15

“Which I am going to be choosing.” Miss Etterson continued.16

The whole class groaned. 17

“Now let me change it around a little bit.” she went around to her middle desk compartment and changed a few things on her piece of paper. 18

“Terry and O’Brien… Erick and Muffy… Eve and Lindsay… Desna and Winnie.. Valeria and Jamie.. Cici and Damien… Sharpay and Ludavyne…” Miss Etterson said but, was interrupted by a horrific scream. 19

“AHHHH!”20

“Jared and Tyler… Denton and Troy… Kelsey and Anderson. Well… that’s it. Gather your things… and we can be off.” Miss Etterson said.21

Sharpay and Ludavyne sit there, amazed, and staring at each other. 22

“So…. partner.” Ludavyne said. 23

Sharpay sighs, and walks out of the classroom in her prissy, annoying way. 24

“This…. isn’t going to be fun.” Ludavyne says, walking out of the classroom. 25

Chapter 2.26

Into The Woods We Go.27

The class went outside and started looking around at their surroundings. 28

"Where are we?" everyone seemed to ask. 29

The teacher turned to her students and said, "The woods, of course!" Miss Etterson said, gleefully. 30

"This is the most dumb thing in the world. I did NOT paint my nails to be in some stupid woods!" Sharpay said, disgusted. 31

"Get over yourself."Ludavyne said in a hushed tone. 32

"I did not make my hair perfect for--- ohh ohhh AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"33

Ludavyne simply smiled, and went on her way down the path. She didn't know what the "project" was about at all, but she explored all of the little things around her. 34

Sharpay, however, found herself in a dark, dirty ditch. She was waist deep in horrible mud. Her brand new pink cell phone had a horrible crack in it and her purse was now polka dotted with mud spots. 35

Ludavyne leaned down to examine one of the reddest flowers she had ever seen when...36

"LUDAVYYYYYYYYYYYYYNE!"37

"LUDAVVVVVYNNNNNEEEEE!"38

"Come and get me NOW!"39

Ludavyne rolled her eyes, and unwillingly, retraced her steps to Sharpay's ditch.40

"What if I really don't want to get you out?" Ludavyne asked. "I mean, what if I like you there?"41

"Look, loooser, I don't want to be with you either, but I have a competition that is VERY important to me right now, and if I don't get an A in here, I am going to be REALLY REALLY mad!" Sharpay screamed.42

"Whatever." Ludavyne said, lifting her out of the ditch.43

"Oh my god, my hair is ruined! My nails are all messed up! My beautiful purse!" Sharpay exaggerated. 44

"Please, spare me." Ludavyne walked faster.45

Uninterested, Sharpay went her normal speed. She looked at her purse and her appearance sadly. 46

Sharpay confesses.48

The night grew closer, and the sky became a charcoal black. The stars shone through the Blackjack trees. The night was so cold, and very silent now as they walked alone about 5 feet away from eachother. 49

"Ludavyne, do you know where we're going?" Sharpay asked.50

"No clue." she answered.51
