dad isn't answering her questions6

and she's worried as hell and7

if I don't call her back she's going to8

and we all don't want that now do we?10

so I pick up the phone11

and call Melee and tell her to put12

the phone on intercom so that Jonas,13

Allie, and Kari can hear me while14

I explain what dad does not want to.15

and they cuss me out for16

not telling them and then 17

act all caring and ask me if I'm okay18

it was a very long conversation.20

Sims calls me at seven twenty two am23

telling me that he has some urgent news24

that he needs to tell me. He swears it's25

extremely important but I don't see26

why he couldn't wait till noon to tell me.27

I mumble I'm listening and he spills it.28

They're not coming with me29

when I leave for Halse. Some band I've never heard30

of invited them to  tour with them for a few months.31

They accepted because they believe this is the perfect way32

for publicity, mass exposure. Sims keeps repeating33

how excited he is and how he swears this34

is pure instinct and that we're on the way of becoming35

famous  and something something something else I missed because36

I dozed off for two minutes.37

He asks me if this is38

alright with me and if I'm cool with 39

his brother taking over my spot.40

I say-Yeah, sure. I'm cool with it.-41

-Great! Aw man this is going to be so awesome!!42

I wish you were coming with us though.-43

I mutter -Me too.- and pray for44

this conversation to end.45

-But we'll be with you soon though Zel, alright?46

Just for a couple of months.-47

-That's cool Sims. I'll be fine. I'll go solo48

and play at coffee house and poetry slams.-49

He laughs and tells me he's50

going to miss me. I tell him to hug the others for me.51

He promises and says he'll call me later.52

This is perfect. They're going in a different direction53

and so am I. Kind of. At least I don't have to explain54

that I'm pregnant.55
