someday i will find the courage to embrace you. 1

someday i will find the strength ... 2

i think that there's a reason for everything i do... and once you know something, you can't "unknow" it. 3

you know, i kind of miss being four. those days when the only thing you worried about was watching your favorite show or getting new toys... when not getting your way meant that you had to go to bed at 8 instead of 9. back before finals existed... when school was all about learning cursive and your times tables... when being a rebel was staying up til 1 o'clock when you were supposed to be asleep... those days when 'lying to your parents' just meant you didn't really do your chores like you said you did... the only things you tattled on your friends about was a stolen tootsie roll ... the days before alcohol were even words in your vocabulary... boys had cooties, and you know, if you got tired of that going-on-two-weeks relationship, you just sent a friend to "dump them" for you.... you didn't need a cell phone because you never talked on the phone. 4

when you were four, the only people you loved were your parents. but then, everything i have now... in a different way.. 5

it's amazing. 6

and there's nothing i'd change, because i know eventually today will be what i want back. and it all makes sense that when something is over, the only thing you can do is move on. 7

it all falls into place in the end. 8

one way or the other.. 9

maybe not the way you expected. 10

but it does. 11

and maybe you don't go to hell for the things you do. maybe you go for the things you don't do.12
