Chapter 121

(back in present times on the SMTM campus)2

“Where did those four kids I was hanging out with at the beginning of the year end up anyways?” Tyler thought to himself as he was sitting in training class.3

“Alright, since we have a couple of you who haven’t fought yet, this is your chance to fight. We also have a very special guest today. Please welcome headmaster Riot.” said coach Mallic.4

The students all applauded for the headmaster as he stood and showed his appreciation. Tyler was ready to jump on the chance to fight.5

“Who will go first?” said Mallic.6

Tyler raised his hand as fast as he could.7

“Alright, you, and you.” Mallic said as he pointed to Tyler and another child. They came down to stand beside Mallic.8

“What are your powers?” he said to the other child. A few moments passed as he told the coach his powers.9

“Alright, and how about you?” he asked Tyler.10

“Well, it’s kind of hard to explain, but if I can just show you, that’d be great.”11

“Alright,” said Mallic, “So we have Metal Man vs. … This kid!”12

Tyler and Metal Man made their way into the center of the ring.13

“Ready?” said Mallic and the arena was closed with glass.14

“Set?” the glass blackened.15

“Go!”16

And so it started. Tyler started crawling in circles around Metal Man at incredible speeds. Metal Man ran as quickly as he could to one of the edges of the ring where he knew Tyler would end up, and turned himself into metal. Metal Man reached his arms out to stop him. Tyler ran into him hard, and bounced backwards. Metal Man didn’t budge a bit, and started running toward where Tyler was. He swung a punch, and Tyler dodged it. He swung another punch, but Tyler dodged it. Tyler reached out his arms toward Metal Man, and lifted him up to the top of the ring without having to touch him. He let go of the energy bind, and dropped Metal Man to the floor, where he made a large dent. Metal Man got up, and pounced at Tyler, who started speed crawling again to avoid the attack. He ended up directly behind Metal Man, and hit him very hard. Metal Man flew forward until he hit the edge of the ring with his whole body. Tyler started running again, and Metal Man hit the ground as hard as he could which made Tyler stop in his tracks. Metal Man started running toward Tyler again, and swung another punch right to his face, which sent Tyler to the floor. Metal Man then went over to Tyler, and stomped on his stomach. Tyler, though hurt, grabbed Metal Man’s foot, and threw him to the edge of the ring where he made another dent. Tyler then put another energy bind on Metal Man, and hit him against the wall several times, until he turned back into his human form, then Tyler stopped, and set him down gently on the ground. Metal Man looked like he should have been dead17

“Match!” yelled Mallic.18

The arena turned back into its high school gym state.19

“Zip! You know the drill.”20

“Yessir!” Zip said and took Metal Man off to the nurse’s office.21

“Thank you coach Mallic.” said the headmaster, “Now if everyone would please excuse yourselves for lunch except for you.” he said as he pointed to Tyler.22
