Vampire's Circle Chapter Eight

Ebony awoke to find herself in darkness, she tried to move but she was tied up, how, why? Was this whole thing really a trick? How could she be so stupid to fall for Miles if they really were lying to her?  1

“Oh so your finally awake,” said a cold voice. 2

She recognized the voice; it was Lady Night, what was going on here?3

“I figured out what you and your little lover did, I know what happened, and I’m going to have to kill you, but first I’m planning on killing Miles, you need to see your little lover die,” she said laughing a cruel laugh. 4

“Where is he, how did we get here,” Ebony said hoping her questions would be answered. 5

“While you two were sleeping all nice and cozy I gave you drugs to sleep deeply and then I took you to the cave, Miles is outside all tied up, you two have been asleep all day and Miles’ parents and Damien are all in a deep sleep safe in there beds.”6

“You won’t get away with this, we’ll escape and destroy you,” Ebony said, she couldn’t see Lady Night’s expression but she kicked her hard in the hip.  7

She heard Lady Night leave but there really was no hope. If only she could see then maybe she could escape and save Miles.8

Miles was standing in the soft glow of the moonlight; he was tied up to a long pole. There really was no escape, but he had to at least try to think of something. Lady Night walked out of the dark cave and smiled evilly at Miles. Ebony is awake, its time to destroy you. Miles struggled trying to free himself of the tight ropes; he really had to get out of here, not to just save himself but his beloved Ebony too. She laughed again and almost shouted; “there’s nothing you can do now, you both are going to die.” 9

Lanterns started to turn on and Ebony realized that someone was entering the cave. She looked up and as her eyes adjusted to the light she saw that it was Damien. “How did awake form the sleeping drugs,” she asked a loud. 10

“Shhhhh, keep it down,” Damien whispered putting his hand over Ebony’s mouth. “Her drugs don’t last long on vampires, and anyways I used to take those things to help me sleep at night,” he chuckled. “Not very powerful things to me, they’ll knock me out for a bit but then my restless body will just come back reality.”     11

Ebony smiled, so like Damien. 12

Damien bent over and untied Ebony, she saw that she was tied so a stone in the cave. As soon as he untied her they snuck slowly down the long hallway. 13

Lady Night pulled out a long silver dagger. She approached Miles slowly and had the dagger in the air. She brought it slowly to his stomach; it looked like she was going to have a little “fun.” She slowly sliced the dagger across his stomach and Miles winced in pain. He didn’t show her mercy though he would never do that. Lady Night would have done anything to kill Miles and Ebony a long time ago, she hated how they being together had greater power than her, and she was the strongest vampire before Ebony and Miles ever met. She despised their sickening love and she hated to know that any vampire could ever be stronger than her, especially Miles since she always hated his mother. She used to be the leader of the cave but when Miles’ father’s mother was hired by Lady Night to kill her, she finally was the leader, the strongest vampire. And now it was time to take the lives of the young couple that were so powerful, they didn’t even know how powerful they were. 14

She dragged the dagger slowly across Miles’ arms and hands and legs. She laughed at this but as she laughed she heard a whoosh of wings flying fast behind her. She tried to run and stab the thing behind her but she dropped the dagger out of panic. Ebony grabbed Lady Night and flew with her trough the air circling the ground. She dropped her onto the ground. Lady night slowly stood up but dizziness over took her and she wobbled as she tried to get away. Damien came running toward Miles and he untied him. Lady Night walked toward the dagger and grabbed it Ebony approached her. “How, how did you ever escape,” she yelled!15

Ebony smiled and gave Lady Night an evil look. Damien and Miles circled around her and she was helpless, how could she have ever been the next strongest vampire after Miles’ mother? 16

They were ready to destroy her, but she still had a few tricks but her hands even though her mind felt so tired and hazy. She turned to Miles and threw the dagger at him, but she missed his heart, the dagger stabbed him in his stomach. Ebony screamed and ran to Miles who fell onto the ground. Damien ran to Lady Night and tackled her onto the ground. She tried to move, but Damien was too strong. He slowly stuck his sharp fangs into her neck and began to drain all of her blood; she would die if he drank all of her blood. She couldn’t move, she couldn’t think, he was controlling her mind, but how, no one has ever controlled her mind in one hundred years? So all she could do was await her death.17

Ebony kneeled over Miles, he was still breathing but very heavily. She knew he couldn’t die if she let him drink some her blood and he’d turn into vampire and escape death. She wanted to know what Damien would have to say, she wanted to know what he would think. She saw him drinking Lady Night’s blood, and she waited for him to finish. As soon as he finished he dropped her body and ran over to Miles and Ebony. “You should let him drink your blood, then you’ll really be together and he can be a vampire again, he’ll be one of us again.”18

She smiled weakly at him, she pulled the dagger out of Miles’ stomach and cut her wrist open and lifted her wrist over to Miles’ soft sweet lips. He slowly began to drink and a feeling of wonderfulness went through him, the blood was so delicious and sweet but only Ebony’s blood could ever be this sweet, he almost smiled but he kept drinking and energy was spilling into his body. He fell into nothingness and he felt like his soul was going to rise out of his body, but it was instantly brought back in and he was brought back to life. 19
