Vampire's Circle Chapter Seven

“I know where Ebony’s memories are,” he said quietly, “I know where Lady Night keeps them.”1

Ebony stood there, she felt they didn’t she was there. What memories were they talking about, why didn’t Miles say anything her?2

“Ebony, I know your confused, but once you see these memories you will understand and you’ll know who Miles is, you’ll be so happy once you find out.”3

Ebony nodded and decided to wait, she casually move a little closer to Miles wanting to be closer to him. 4

Miles could feel her presence right next to him. He loved her so much and he wanted to tell how he felt so bad. But he couldn’t she wouldn’t understand, well she would a little bit but she needed to get her memories back before he could say anything. He turned around and gently smiled at her, she smiled back and they both turned away. 5

“You should take us there right now,” Miles demanded.6

“I will, but if Lady Night is near she will know we’re there and we’ll all be human blood.”7

“We can take her,” Damien said feeling strong. “She just likes to hide behind her power as a leader.”8

“Then we should go, now, we shouldn’t waste anymore time,” Ebony said.9

Miles’ father stood up “Then we shall. Ebony’s memories are in the forest, but they are not hard to find.”10

The four of them left Damien’s house and were taken to Miles’ neighborhood. “Where’s Mom,” asked Miles as they passed there house?11

“She’s inside, she does know everything that has happened, but I explained to her how you found out and what I’m going to do. She doesn’t really like the idea, but she approves of it for you Miles.”12

They entered the forest and the sun was still shining up high in the sky. It was only late afternoon and they had plenty of daylight to spare to go into the deep forest. Ebony, Miles, and Damien all followed Miles’ father. 13

“How much further do we have to go,” asked Ebony, she knew the forest well but she didn’t know where her so-called memories were hidden. 14

“Not much further, we just need to go a little deeper, we won’t have to worry about the cave because they not close to it at all and we won’t be passing it.”15

Night was starting to arrive, but the sunset still hung in the sky, the wind grew chilly, and surprisingly no vampires met up with them and thankfully Lady Night wasn’t around. “It should be over here somewhere,” Miles’ father said searching the ground.16

“How do you know where it is,” asked Damien who had been meaning to ask this question?17

“I saw them erase Ebony’s memories and burry them, ah they should be buried below this tree.” He walked up to a huge oak tree and black roses grew around it. He kneeled down and started to dig up the soft damp ground. Ebony, Miles, and Damien all kneeled down around him peering to the spot he was digging at. 18

“How deep is it buried,” asked Miles 5 minutes later?19

“Not very, we should be getting close to it.” And he was right he pulled out a long silvery dagger with bits of color floating through it. Vampire language was carved into it and the handle was nicely curved and it was a bright red. 20

“Now what do we do,” asked Ebony amazed by all the colors floating in the dagger?21

“We stab the dagger into your heart, but it won’t kill you because it’s a magical dagger. It was designed long ago to keep secrets in hiding away from enemy vampires so they couldn’t go into your mind and read the secrets you didn’t want revealed. If When you wanted the secrets back you would stab the dagger into your heart and they would be absorbed back into your body, and the wound the dagger would make would be healed by the secrets absorbing back into your body. If it was someone else who stole your dagger and stabbed it into their heart they would die because the secrets and dagger weren’t there’s.”22

“I don’t like this idea,” said Miles looking at Ebony, he didn’t want his beloved to die without ever remembering him. 23

“I don’t like it either Miles,” said Damien looking at the dagger as if it were evil and it was a trick. 24

“I’ll do it,” Ebony said. “I trust your father and I want these memories back I can’t stand not knowing what you three are talking about.”25

Miles smiled but fear was held inside him, what if this was a trick?26

“It is your choice Ebony,” sighed Damien.27

Miles nodded in agreement, but he still didn’t like the idea.28

Miles dad handed the dagger to Ebony. She held it for a while in silence. The three men watched her wondering if she would really do it. She finally stood up brought the dagger to her heart and stabbed into her chest. 29

She fell onto her knees and Miles hurriedly crawled her side. She grabbed his hand and squeezed it tightly, he held onto her. 30

Memories of her and Miles together flashed into her mind. She saw how they met, how they spent every day with each other. She saw everything and she understood, she wanted to come back to reality and kiss Miles deeply, she loved him so much. She felt sorrow and happiness. She was sad because she had missed him for so long and did not know it. The images flashed into her head until the dagger was shriveled away into ashes. She fell against Miles and he held her tight. Tears streamed from both of there eyes, they missed each other for so long. They sat their hugging and kissing forgetting that Miles’ father and Damien were they’re watching them in awe. They soon stopped and looked deeply into each other’s eyes. “I love you, Ebony,” Miles said. 31

“I love you too Miles,” Ebony replied back as they kissed one last time. 32

They headed out of the forest and all entered Miles’ house. “I think Ebony should stay with us,” Miles said walking upstairs ready for bed; he was tired from the long night and so was Ebony. 33

Damien left to his house and his father went to his bedroom where his mother was asleep. They climbed upstairs and crawled into Miles’ bed snuggling up and they fell asleep. 34
