It only takes one second to screw up your life. It only takes one word to ruin a friendship. It only takes one missed shot to lose a game. Only one of anything for your life to go in a different direction. The wrong path home, the wrong move in a match, the wrong boy to get you pregnant. All these things combined will turn your life around.1
When things come to term, what will you do? How will you react? Will you use the hardships as your saving grace or will you let it destroy you? Will you shove your friends aside or let them help you through. When the light shows you a path, will you take the opportunity or leave it behind? Ponder these questions as you live through your troubles.2
We all have our good times and we all have hardships. But it’s how you get through them that matters. People may call you names and pick on you but if you keep your head high, you’ll get through it. Think of the people around you then think of the choices you make. What you do influences them.3
Though you may hurt people, it only makes them stronger. Though you may try suicide, it will only strengthen you lust to live. You try to welcome the end but it never comes. Multiple times you try but no matter how strong you desire to die is, your desire to live will win in the end. 4
Your friends may not know what you’re going through but they won’t always be there to talk. Call whenever you want they say but you know it’s not true. You tell them what’s wrong but you feel as if they listen but don’t really care. In the end, it’s you crying after they tune you out. They yell and tell you things you don’t want to here. You run away and hide.5
That night, you’re all alone. Deserted, abandoned, empty, you make your decision, end it all. You’ve hid your pain long enough, time to make the world pay. Pay for making you depressed, pay for hurting you.. The preps will see what they did, the Goths won’t see at all. They ignored you when you tried to be their friends. All you wanted was someone who cared. You got nothing. 6
Dark, cold, rainy June night, giant sheets of stinging rain hit’s the ground as freezing wind adds to the mix. You grab you knife and the three notes you had written and walk out the door. Your oddly colored hair is instantly drenched but you no longer care how cold it is. You’ll be colder soon enough. Through the empty, muddy driveway, past the dog and into the deep, thunderous forest. Lightening flashes in the sky, an explosion of light blinding you. Your black clothes get tangled in the bushes, tearing and making the rain worse. You reach your favorite spot, past the river, through the sewage tunnel and to the clearing you constructed three years ago. 7
You wrap the letters in a bag, keeping them dry. You pull out you knife, pulling the sheath off, revealing the blade. Tears hit the ground, a runoff of water. You sit in on the muddy boards, you new home never dry. Drawing the blade up to your stomach, you stop. Look out the window, your brain tells you. You do and the picture is not what you expected. 8
She’s standing there, tears wetting her cheeks. She holds out her hand and you see the minuscule cuts. You open the door and invite her in. She wraps her arms around you as you kiss her. Her blood lands on your arm. You ignore it as she passionately locks lips with you. You break apart a few minutes later as lifeless tears fall. You return to your bed on the floor, followed by her. 9
You tear some of your shirt off and wrap it over her fresh cuts, staring into her deep blue eyes you love to look at. The untidy black hair and black lips make you feel even worse. You whisper, “I’m sorry,” though it goes unheard. Conversation stars and soon, you both are lying on the floor, an awkward position.10

Laura, this is a dramatic thought of what you might want your suicide to look like. Some times the pain that over comes us makes us want to do the unthinkable, I hope you can find one more reason to keep going. One more reason, not to end your life. I am praying for you. I know how hard life is.
I don't know exactly what you are going through but I do know how much the pain can hurt and what it can make you think you want to do.
If this is any indication of the pain you are going through I am so sorry. I hope God can keep you in this life as long as possible.
I know you are a loving person and you care for your friends and family. I also know it would be a great tragedy if we lost you in death. Please hang in there. Please hang on for what ever reason you can. We love you Laura.
