Life Of Teens(Chap. 2)

The next day we borrowed Zack’s dads’ van. Its like a hippie van, so we could fit more people. We picked up everyone and headed towards the skate park. It was about an hour away. We stopped 3 times on the way there. We finally got there, there was a lot of people there even though it was a school day. No one looked familiar. Me and John have met a lot of people too. Dad leaves us all there and goes somewhere. 1

“Where’s dad going?” ask John. 2

“I don’t know, all he said was that he’ll pick us up at 5. That gives us 6 hours to hang out here!” says Kazy3

“That’s cool yo” says Joe. He always says yo. 4

“No duh, dip shit!” says Brian. 5

Kazy flips him off. 6

“Love ya too Kazy!” says Brian laughing. 7

She just rolls her eyes.8

Kazy, me, and Ash all go to get something to eat. Katie and all the boys go skate. 9

“Dude, I’m starving” says Kazy. 10

“Me too man.” I say. “HOLY SHIT!” I yell as John skates right I front of me as I was walkin. “Watch were you’re goin John…you dumb ass!” I yell to John. 11

Us 3 get some candy and sit down on our skateboards. John rolls up with this kid. He looked the same age as John and he was hott!12

“Hey Jade, do you remember Damon?” John asks. 13

I manage to spit out a small “Yeah.”14

You see Damon was a friend of John’s and he moved away when I was 12, John was 13 almost 14. I’m 15 now and John is 17. 15

I noticed Ash staring at Damon and I hit her arm so she looked away. John and Damon go skate some more and Kazy turns to me and smiles. 16

“Who’s Damon?” she asks me. 17

“He was my brother’s friend along time ago but then he moved away” I replied. 18

“And did you like him back then too?” asks Ash smiling. 19

“How the hell did you know?” I ask. 20

“Jade, its obvious hun” replies Ash. 21

“Do you think Damon knows?”22

“I doubt it. Boys are clueless when it comes to girls liking them” says Kazy. 23

“He’s hott!” says Ash giggling. 24

I gave her a weird look and then she added…25

“But he’s not my type of guy, he’s your type though Jade. Go for it girl!”26

I smiled weakly. “Lets go skate” I say while getting up. As I was skating I noticed John and Damon sitting down, watching me. So I did some cool tricks. I sorta trying to show-off. It didn’t really work cause when I tried to hard I fell. It hurt too. I finally gave up and went to go sit with John and Damon. I noticed Damon had a long sleeve shirt on and he was sweating like crazy. 27

“Why don’t you pull up your sleeves, you look really warm.” I asked Damon. 28

He looked at me with wide eyes and says “No, I’m good.” He looks at me and smiles, I smile back. 29

After about 3 minutes of awkward silence John asks “What time is it?”30

I looked at my cell phone. “Its two thirty”31

“What time are you leaving?” John asks Damon. 32

“My mom’s comin to get me at three”33

“Dude, maybe you can come and stay at our house for a while instead of going to stay with your dad” John says. 34

“Yeah that would be cool, only a week but still its WAY better than goin to my dads” Damon says35

Dad comes to get us at four thirty. John walks up to the van with Damon and says “ Dad, this is Damon. Remember him?”36

“Sure do” says dad. 37

“Can he stay with us for like a week while his mom goes away for work?” John asks. 38

“Sure. Only for a week?” my dad says smiling. 39

So we had to fit 10 teens and Jake into the van. Jake has to sit on my lap, which hurt my legs. I had an 8 yr old kid on my lap for which seemed like hrs. But it was only a half an hr, then he sat on someone else’s lap. 40

John and Damon spent the whole ride talking and catching up with each other. Damon’s mom was gonna bring all his bags to our house before she left. He lives in a town about 30 minutes from ours. 41

We take everyone home, drop off the van and get in our car at Zack’s house. 42

When we got inside Damon says “Wow, this house hasn’t changed like at all”43

“Lets go up to my room” says John to Damon. 44

“Can I go too” asks Jake. 45

“No dude, maybe later though k?” says John.46

“ok” says Jake in a sad tone. 47

“You can come to hang out in my room if you want Jake.” I say48

“REALLY?? Thanks Jade!” yells Jake. 49

I rarely let him in my room. I only let him this time cause it might get Damon’s attention. He’s always wanted Jake as a little brother. 50

I look at Damon to find him looking at me, he smiles and I smile back. I start going up the stairs and Jake follows. The other boys behind us. I go in my room and go on the computer. Jake sits on my bed looking at my cds. 51

“Jade, can we listen to the Hawthorne Heights cd?” he asks. 52

“Sure turn it on number 4 k?53

As we listen to the song called The Transition I song along and get on all poetry. Kazy, Katie and Brian are all on. 55

I im Kazy and say ”Hey what up? Nothing here. Just hanging out with Jake in my room”56

She types back saying “Nothing here either. I’m about to slit my sister’s throat. She’s complaining about the kind of music I listen to. Lol! So…how’s your hottie?”57

I type “ LOL! If I were you I’d slap your sister and tell her to shut the fuck up! Damon is hanging out with John in his room so I’m stuck with Jake!”58

After I was done typing and I sent it I realized she got off. I turn around in the chair to find Jake gone, so I turn the stereo off and head out of my room. As I was walking out, Damon was walking down the hall and we ran right into each other. 59

“OH SHIT!” We both yell at the same time. 60

“Sorry Jade.” he says softly. 61

“Tits ok” I say back. He smiles at me and I go downstairs. 62

“DINNER!!!” dad yells. 63

John and Damon come running down the stairs. 64

“Thank god, I’m fuckin starving” says John65

“John, please watch your mouth around your brother: says dad. 66

“Dad, the little shit already swears. He’s fine” I say to dad. I wink at Jake. 67

“Yeah dad, the bitch is right.” Jake says, winking at me. I laugh and get my dinner. Chicken, rice and salad. 68

“So Damon, how’s school?” dad asks. 69

“Well I just got suspended for flipping out on a teacher so I don’t know” Damon says. 70

During dinner I noticed Damon looking at me a lot. After dinner I go in my room, close the door, grab the phone and jump on my bed. Which was only 2 mattresses on the floor. I dial Kazy’s number. 71

“Hello”72

“Is Kazy there”73

“Yeah hold on, Kazy phone! Kazy…the fuckin phone’s for you!!”74

“Coming, Jesus ma….yell any fuckin louder”75

“hello”76

“Hey Kazy, whats up?”77

“Nothing”78

“Do you wanna come over for a while?”79

“Sure, meet me half way?”80

“Will do, see ya soon.”81

I hug up the phone and went down stairs. 83

“Dad I’m going to meet Kazy, she’s coming over k?”84

“Ok”85

I’m walking down the street and I see Kazy so I start running. She’s smoking at cig. 86

“Hey can I have a couple hits of that?”87

“You want a whole one instead?” She asks. 88

“No, I’ll have one when we get to my house k?”89

“Ok, so how’s Damon?” She asks while handing me the cig. 90

“He’s good, he’s acting weird though”91

“What do you mean?”92

“Like he is so quiet and sweet, he never ever use to be like that”93

“Well people change Jade.”94

“Yeah I know, its just weird” I say laughing. 95

When we get to my house John and Damon are watching TV. 96

“Hey, you guys wanna go in my room and hang out? I ask the two boys. 97

“Yeah” says Damon really fast. 98

So all 4 of us go in my room. John sits in my computer chair, me and Kazy sit on my bed and Damon sits on the floor. Kazy hands me a cigarette. 99

“Got a lighter?” I ask with a cig hanging in my mouth. All of a sudden a lighter hits me in the head, 100

“Hey man!” I yell looking at the smiling Damon. 101

I light it then I throw it back. Dad lets us smoke ass long as Jake isn’t there. I got up and turned on the Hawthorne Heights cd. I turn all the lights off and I see 4 cigarettes lit. After I was done smoking I close my eyes. When I open them again I see Damon looking at me. So I sit up and stretch. John’s still on the computer, banging his head to the music. Kazy’s sitting there smoking again. 102

“Sheesh Kazy, haven’t you had enough?” I ask her103

She jumps. “Jesus, you scared the shit outta me and no I love smoking. It keeps me calm” She says laughing. I smile and look at Damon who is playing with his lighter now. I sat there staring at him, looking at his black spiked hair with neon green tips. 104

He puts his head up and sees me looking at him. I look away really fast and look at the computer instead. I check the clock, seven thirty. 105

“Well girl I should prolly go, my mom is in one of her “flip out” moods again” says Kazy. 106

“Yeah I heard her on the phone” I say107

“Yeah, I swear someday I’m gonna smack that bitch, my sister too. Having a very preppy big sister SUCKS!” she says. She gets up and gives me the rest of the pack. She had tons so she always gave me some cigs. 108

“Thanks Kazy” I say. I give her a hug and she walks out of the room. 109

Damon’s back to playing with his lighter and John is still on the computer. 110

“Hey Damon, you wanna go for a walk since John’s being boring?” I ask laughing.111

John flips me off while typing. 112

“Sure” says Damon as he gets up. We go downstairs. 113

“Dad, me and Damon are goin for a walk k?114

“Ok, be back by 10 at the latest ok?”115

“Ok, bye dad.”116

And we both walk out the door. 117
