Garden of Eden: Dante and Adam Talk

Resting for a few days, God found himself regretting keeping Dante in his kingdom. Burning souls and painting them black was his idea of fun but it was no fun for God. Dante thought he was still in hell. Not remembering that he was in heaven, he thought he was free to do just about anything he wanted to do. God was furious....it was like babysitting a juvenile delinquent. Not only did Dante think he could do anything he wanted to, he thought it was okay as well. Until, one day Adam caught up with Dante to confront him on his actions. 1

"Look, Dante you can't burn souls here....do you forget that you are in heaven now or do you just not care? You can't get away with everything here. It just doesn't go that way. If you wish to stay, you have to obey God and his wishes. This is his kingdom, not yours. So, stop lighting the angels wings on fire, making them confess sins they never did, burning the gates of hell everytime God fixes them, and stop playing duck, duck, die. It's not very nice. If you wish to help us defeat the savage beast Eve then you must stop being bad."2

"Me stop being bad....(chuckle)...yeah right. Do you forget who you are talking to? I'm the spawn of Satan. I'm his first born son. I live to be bad...I kill to be bad. It's just what I am. That's like me telling you to stop being good. You can't do it, can you? Well, I can't stop being bad. It's in my blood. At least I'm not a stuck up bastard that obeys his masters every word though", Dante said as he lit up a cigarette.3

"God is not my master...he is my creator and I respect him and his wishes just like you should. If you want to stay here, you have to change your ways just for a couple of days", Adam said.4

"Yeah, like you're gonna make me", Dante said as he started to walk away from Adam. With that, Adam charged after Dante from behind knocking him down on the ground. Dante started to fight back as Adam threw punches and hits right at Dante's face. "You can't stop me from being bad, Adam", he said as he punched Adam back.5

"No, but God can", Adam said as he looked up at Dante, who was still hitting him.6

"Okay, you two, that's enough", God shouted from behind them both. Startled, Dante and Adam stopped fighting to approach the almighty one. "Look, I don't care who started it. All I know was that I was welcoming in new members and I hear you two fighting. Just cool off. In a couple more days we will be ready to go after Eve. Until then, I don't wanna hear you two fighting or anything, got it?"7

"Yes sir", they both said in unison. After God returned to welcome new members in, Adam apologized to Dante.8

"Look, I'm sorry. You're right, I can't change who you are just like I can't change who I am. You're the spawn of Satan, of course you're gonna be bad. What's it like being Satan's son anyhow?", Adam asked being nice to Dante this time.9

"It has it's downside sometimes. He can be a real hard ass, you know? But other than that, he's a great guy. A lot of people don't know that about my dad. He can actually be quite nice if he's in the mood. He's not always bad, you know. I can't help but be bad though. It's just a part of me and I actually like it. So, what's it like being God's creation?"10

"Being God's creation isn't so bad. I really like it here, it's so beautiful and God is so understanding and honest. I love it here. I wouldn't trade this place in for the world", Adam said smiling at Dante.11

"I would", Dante said underneath his breath.12

"What did you say?"13

"Nothing....so I guess being God's creation makes you his son, right?", Dante asked Adam.14

"Yeah, I guess it does. So, Satan has a good side, huh? Would've never thought that. Hey, you aren't such a bad guy now that I've talked to you", Adam said patting Dante on the shoulder.15

"Yeah, well don't get used to it. You think I like being here? You actually think that Satan's son wants to help out you and God? Please...get real. I'm bad, remember? I'm just hear to rule this kingdom over and I will once I can get rid of you and God. Then, Heaven and Hell will be ruled by the bad and the evil. (evil laugh)", Dante said as he laughed at Adam.16

Adam thought that Dante had really changed. He believed that Dante could be good if he wanted to but yet he knew there was something about Dante that he didn't like from the start. Dante wanted heaven for himself. He didn't wanna help out God. If anything, he wanted to help Eve. Something was fishy and strange about Dante and Adam knew it all along but what would God do if he found out.....17
