Life Of Teens(chap 1)

I wake up to a pillow smashing in my face. “Hey you asshole,” I yelled to my brother John, who was running out of the room. I could hear him laughing. I get up slowly, grab my clothes and head towards the bathroom. John opens the door just as I was about to knock.1

“Whoa you look like shit, sleep much hun?” he says. 2

“Fuck you!” I muttered back. I knew he heard me cause he went into his room and slammed the door. That made me laugh. 3

I took a shower as like every morning. I got out, wrapped a towel around my head and put my clothes on. My black jeans and black Green Day hoodie. I get out of the bathroom and go back into my bedroom where I find my little brother sitting on my bed looking at my cds. 4

“Jake, get the hell out of my room you little shit!” I yell at him. 5

He runs out of the room crying. I smile and say Crybaby. Someone knocks on the door, which was open, I look and see my older brother, standing there leaning against the wall. 6

“Why you gotta be so mean the baby Jade?” He asked in a sarcastic tone. 7

I laugh and say nothing. I take the towel off my head and start brushing my hair which was black with pink streaks. I watch John as he flips through my cds looking for the Slipknot one. Its his favorite band. 8

“Its already in the stereo” I say to him, which startled him cause he didn’t know I was watching him. 9

He gets up and walks over to the stereo. He pushes play and turns it up loud. Then he goes into his room to get ready. 10

I stand in front of my mirror which was right by the door. I put on my make-up singing along with the song that was on. It was Spit It Out, my favorite song. After I got done with putting on my make-up and junk, I turn the stereo off and slide on my black and purple Etnies. I run down the stairs and walk into the kitchen. I see my dad sitting at the table reading the newspaper.11

My mom had died giving birth to Jake about 8 yrs ago. I sit at the table across from my dad. 12

“Morning sunshine” My dad says happily.13

“Mornin” I say back in a tired voice and I put my head down on the table. 14

John  comes and sits at the table too. Jake is getting a bowl of cereal. 15

“Dad, Jade didn’t get much sleep last night, she’s having those nightmares again. I heard her last night.” says John.16

“Yeah the goddamn nightmares are back” I say through my arms.17

I get up and go into the living room. I plop down on the couch and look at the clock. 7:30, 40 minutes till school. I grab the remote from inside the couch and turn it on FUSE. John comes into the room and sits in the chair.18

We watch music videos till dad yells “Time to go!”19

So I get up, grab my book bag and go out the door. Jake following me. I get in the front seat and pop a Green Day cd into the player, turning it up loud. All of us are singing along with them on the way to school, even Jake and my dad. 20

We get to Jake’s school and drop him off. 21

I say “Goodbye you little shit”22

“Bye bitch” he says back and I smile. 23

Dad hits me on the arm.24

“Ow what the hell?” I yell. 25

“You taught him to say that didn’t you?”26

“Yeah so what?” I reply.27

“He’s only 8 Jadlyn, he shouldn’t be using that kind of language.”28

I hated when anyone used my full first name. 29

“Dad, He’s fine.”30

And he leaves it at that. The whole time John is laughing in the backseat. 31

When we get to school me and John get out and go in. As soon as we got in the school we walk towards Zack and Ash’s lockers. Their locker are right next to each others. Finally they both come in and I give Ash a hug. Suddenly someone comes up behind me and tapes me on the shoulder. I swing my arms around and see Kazy kneeling down. Once when she tapped me on the shoulder I hit her in the head, so now she always ducks.  I laugh and help her up. She gives me and Ash each a hug. 32

After that my friend Brian walks up to us and says “Mornin ya’ll”33

“Morning” we all say at the same time. 34

Then me, John, Brian and Kazy all walk  to homeroom where we meet up with Katie. The rest of our friends are in other homerooms. When the bell rings me and Kazy head to our first class of the day, GYM!! I hated gym so much. 35

“I have to play or else me dad will have another fit” I told Kazy who was getting her shorts on already. I got mine on too and we head into the gym. 36

When we got in there this prep walks up to us and says “Hi Cassandra and Jadlyn, nice to see you two FREAKS play gym for once” 37

That pissed me off. I was about to go after her but Kazy held me back. I looked at Kazy and smiled. I got right into Brittany’s face and yelled “FUCK YOU, you dumb whore. No one likes you anyways, ask them…..its because you’re a bitch and only care about yourself!”38

And then Kazy piped up saying “You now what Brittany, we aren’t the freaks if you ask people they’ll say you are the fuckin freak so you can just shove it up your FAT ASS!!”39

At that me and Kazy linked arms, swished our hair preppy like and walked away. 40

Kazy whispered “Did you see her face?”41

“Yeah the look on her face was fuckin priceless!” I reply back. And we both start laughing.42

We were playing kickball with the boys and Kyle, Zack and Joe were all in our gym class and we all ended up on the same team. So we stood in the back and didn’t really do anything. I caught a ball that was heading towards my head, I knew it was Brittany’s and I laugh. She got even more mad. 43

It was our turn to kick now. So I kicked the ball and started running for first base. All of a sudden Brittany was there and trips me so I fall really hard onto the wood floor. Zack runs over to me and helps me up and then starts yelling at Brittany. The gym teacher blows his whistle and tells Zack to shut up cause it was a accident. I wanted to scream so bad but I didn’t. I just walked to get a drink and then I went and sat down on the bleachers. When gym was over I went in the locker room and got dressed as fast as I could. Kazy did the same. Then I walk up to Brittany, who was fixing her make-up, I tap her on the shoulder and she turns around. I step forward so she backs up into the wall. 44

I yell “You better leave me and my friends the hell alone of you’re gonna really regret it you stupid bitch!”45

Then me and Kazy walk out of the locker room just as the bell rings.46

The day goes by slowly from there. Getting dirty looks from preps and jocks. By the time lunch comes all of my friends know about what happened. It was pizza day so I was happy. I love pizza. The tables could fit 12 people at them so all of us “punks” sit at the same table. There was Me, Kazy, Ash, Katie, Joe, Brian, John, Zack, and Kyle.  47

I see Brittany and her prep squad walking towards us. I nudge Kazy’s arm and we both stand up. Brittany walks up to me.48

I say “What the fuck do you want whore?”49

She turns around and looks at her boyfriend Andy and does something. Then all the jocks head over and push all my guys out of their chairs. John and Zack get up and go after the jocks that pushed them. The rest followed. 50

I was too busy watching what was happening that I didn’t notice the pizza in Brittany’s hand. She calls my name and I turn. She throws the pizza and it hits me right in the face and the down the front of me. 51

Kazy didn’t hold me back this time. I screamed and ran right into Brittany, pushing her into her squad. I started pulling her hair, punching her and I noticed my girls were fighting with the squad of preps. After I was done and got all my anger out I get up, smile, walk over to my table and sit down. All the jocks and my guys already got taken out of the cafeteria. This lady walks up to me, grabs my arm and takes me out into the hall. All the jocks were at one end of the hall and the rest were at the other end. The lady leads me down to my friends and then she goes back into the cafeteria. All my girls come walking out and we were all escorted to the office. 52

Kazy and I had to talk to Mrs. McCarthy first. We told her mostly everything that happened. After everyone had told what happened we had to go back to class. As I was walking to class I saw the jocks and preps heading towards the office. 53

After school dad came to pick John and I up.54

He said “Your principal called me and told me what all happened. You both are suspended for 3 days. I know you all were just defending yourself sooo…….I am going to take all 9 of you to the skate park tomorrow.”55

Me and John both say “Are you serious?”56

“Yeah, I called everyones parents and they all said yes or ok. Some had to be talked to for a while first but still.”57

I was shocked and happy. 58

We went to go pick up Jake from school. I told him what we were doing tomorrow and all that happened.59

“Dad, can I go too? John is teaching me some cool skating tricks and I can practice them there” Jake asks and says. 60

“Yeah sure buddy” Dad replies. 61

I look at Jake, wink and smile at him. He smiled back. I have to admit I loved Jake to death, he just gets on my nerves sometimes. 62

I lean back listening to Green Day. Thinking about what a fun day tomorrow is gonna be.63
