"Carson", My name is Carson Johns but you can call me CJ." 1

"I think I like Carson". 2

"You can call me what you like as long as you call me. Here is my number". He turned Shia's hand over, kissed it and wrote his number on the inside of her hand. As he walked away he yelled, " I hope I get that phone call soon". Shia smiled, a little distracted. She searched the room until she found the girls. 3

"I like Carson, Shia and I can't believe you guys have been dating a year now". 4

"Do you really Diana? He is a doll isn't he and he's so attentive and sweet". 5

"That's one of the reason's I like him. He takes care of you". 6

"Speaking of taking care of, you heard from Reggie lately? I talked to her two weeks ago but I haven't heard from her since. You know she's probably up to something" 7

"Yeah, she's probably got something shady going on" Shia said laughing. "She called me last night but she did let on to anything then. I'll see what's up. I'm going over there today. We've known each other since we were little girls so I'm sure she'll tell me first. She's scared to tell you Diana because she knows if she is not being good you'll get on her immediately." 8

"Yeah, I know she probably feels a little bit more comfortable with confiding in you. You're better at those things than me. I have a hard time holding my tongue and your'e a little more patient. Anyway, I'm sure we'll find out soon. Remember that intervention the two of performed with her 3 years ago? 9

I still can believe the girl was going to let her first time be with an idiot like Rico Puente's. She had only known him for three days. "I know prostitutes that wouldn't have anything to do with him" she laughed, "But we did it, didn't we?" 10

"You're right and was that a close one. We'll I'm gonna run, don't have much time. I'lll give you a call later". 11

(Later after arriving at Reggies....) 12

"Hi girl" Reggie said as she came outside to greet Shia. "It's about time. I didn't think you were coming." 13

"I may be late but you know I'll get there". I not long ago left Diana's and she asked about you. Why don't the three of us get together next weekend and make a day of it"? 14

"Sure, sounds good" then she paused. "Shia, you and Carson still together?" 15

"As far as I know" 16

"Really now". 17

"Yeah, why do you ask?" 18

"Well", Reggie said with a smile of total enjoyment, "I saw him at the campus cozied up with this girl" 19

Shia felt as if she had been punched in her stomach but she decided not to let it show. "Yeah and just who is this girl supposed to be Reggie". 20

"Tina Abbott, you know her. They are even wearing matching colors as if they are a couple or something". She said smirking. "So what are you going to do now?" 21

Shia still holding her composure replied, "Well, I guess there's not a whole lot I can do about that is there Ms. Reggie but ask him about it and go from there" Shia couldn't believe Reggie was being so smug. She seemed to take such delight in telling her this news. What could she be getting out of it? Besides she was one of her oldest and dearest friends...she thought until now. 22

Shia thinking of a way to excuse herself said, "Reggie dahling, I have a cake in the car I need to get to My Mom's house quick. She's having a dinner party in an hour so I gotta run but we'll talk more about next weekend and which day were going to get together. Okay? 23

"Oh so soon? We'll okay. We'll talk later then". 24

Shia was running out of the door as she was talking. She couldn't get to the car fast enough. She decided to drive around for a while, still stunned by Reggies news but even more so by her attitude. Did she want to hurt her? She just wanted to sit and try to come up with an answer she could fathom. 25
