Yerix glanced out the window of his carriage. A half smile crossed his face. He loved his carriage rides he loved how historical it felt. He sighed with regret when he looked where the horses should have been instead it was a hologram of horse like creatures. 1
“I can not believe you are planning on meeting these infidels, and you are inviting them to the Snowflake Ball.” Udrea argued. 2
“It is a perfect way to explain them being here and the woman I met seemed nice. She appeared confused but she was not a feral animal.” Yerix pointed out to her. 3
The carriage began to slow as Yerix and his companions came upon the humans. A man with broad shoulders and a rough face seemed to be in command. The humans moved into groups and appeared to be aiming weapons at the Anchynts. Yerix performed a quick calming spell and he stepped out of his carriage. He stood fifteen feet away from the human man who commanded the others. Yerix surveyed the foreigners with a look of wonder. 4
“These are your beloved humans? They are short and their skin is dull brown or a tan white. Their hair is coarse not soft and flowing like ours. How can you care so much about these primitive creatures?” Udrea whispered with a thick Anchynt accent. 5
“They are our kin, Udrea! These “primitive creatures” are our children.” Yerix said coldly. He looked towards the humans and bowed; his knees rested on the grass. A woman that stood at the commander’s side moved forward and kneeled before Yerix. He was amazed at the color of her hair. It was colored like rubies. She looked into Yerix’s eyes and placed her hand on her chest. “Cheryl.” she said affirmatively. 6
Yerix smiled and laughed, “My name is Yerix. It is a pleasure to meet you Cheryl.” The corner of Elizabeth’s mouth turned up and she sighed. After she returned to her blank expression, she stepped forward. “My name is Elizabeth. We, as I am guessing you know, are homosapeins, but what are you?” 7
Yerix stood and surveyed her “We are known as the Anchynts, the fathers of several civilizations.” 8
“I see. This man is our General. He prefers to be addressed as General Dobinson. We are on a mission to find the realm of a creature that has plagued our homeland. It sucks the blood out of our people and trashes our homes and then hides where we can’t find them to have our revenge.” Miranda explained to Yerix and his companions “I’m Miranda.” 9
“The vampires?” Udrea asked. 10
“Yes.” grunted Dobinson. 11
“Well you will need rest you may come and stay with us. I would like to gain a mutual friendship between our two realms. Please we have enough room for all of you and your supplies.” Yerix offered. 12
“No!” the General boomed. 13
“Yes!” Elizabeth interjected “We would love to discuss an alliance with you at your residence. Everyone, get your supplies we will be riding with Yerix and Udrea. Now!” Elizabeth glared at General Dobinson before he could disagree with her. He sighed and gestured to the carriages. “If it is possible I would like to ride with Elizabeth and Cheryl. We have matters that need discussing.” General Dobinson asked curtly. 14
“Certainly. In addition, I would like a meeting with you three when we arrive in my city Ishka. Have a nice ride.” Yerix said.15
