Chapter 141

After hours of wandering in a strange land, Ashley found a small empty clearing in the woods. Her head snapped up and forced her gaze towards the stars Ashley collapsed to the ground and began convulsing her eyes faded from being silver blue into a pool frosty silver. Her body stilled and she looked as if pinned by an unseen force. She relaxed and let this pull take over her. 2

The world around spun from a green blue swirl to one of mahogany and candlelight. Her mind focused on the vision it was sent. In the quaint room was a beautiful blonde who appeared to be working magick. Her mouth moved sharply and vulgar sounding words came out. The room was thick with the smell of burning herbs and oils. 3

Ashley felt the fumes were strangling her. Ashley made herself concentrate on the magick the woman was casting. It appeared to be a sort of fertility spell, but this one was using an unusual amount of power and delved into dark sources of magick. A dark glow surrounded this woman, she had a dark powerful aura, and she was a woman who would do anything for power including murder. She wrapped up her spell and put away her tools she brushed her tousled hair and applied some perfume to her wrists and the nape of her neck. 4

She glanced at the door as a young girl came in and said, “Trebajin, Maksha would like you to visit him.” 5

“Thank you Alexis. I won’t be back until late so I want you to bathe and practice your glamour spells. You have yet to fully appear like an Anchynt child.” Trebajin commanded to the girl. She kissed the young girl on the forehead and whispered, “Don’t worry my little sister. If all goes as planned you will no longer be cleaning up dead bodies, but you will be a lady in the court. You may even become the High Seer with your abilities. Good night.” 6

Alexis froze and her eyelids began twitching. Trebajin stopped at the door and turned towards her. Alexis began to speak in an ancient voice, “Tonight will change the balance. New warriors will be created but so will new enemies. A gypsy from another realm will battle you and the baby you will be carrying in your womb. The child will be a new source of power. She will become a goddess of sorts and control many. You will have to fight to keep her alive or the humans will destroy you and your empire. Fate is in your hands.” Alexis stumbled into Trebajin’s arm with a dazed expression on her face. “Did I have another vision?” she asked. 7

“Yes.” said Trebajin curtly. “I must be going now.” she stiffened her posture and walked down a long corridor to Maksha the High King of the Vampires. 8

Ashley awoke in a small room with strange women hovering around her. An older woman who appeared to be made of silver was staring at her. “You are awake. The vision you had knocked you out. You shouldn’t have been in that clearing if you do not have control of your powers. The air there is thick with magick. My name is Margajin. May I ask what your name is and where you are from?” the woman prodded. 9

“My name is Ashley. I am from the human realm. Excuse what is your name again?” 10

“Margajin. Why?” she asked. 11

“It is similar to the name of the girl in my vision. Her name was Trebajin.” Ashley explained. 12

“Trebajin would be my daughter. I think you will be staying with us for a while.”13
