Life's funny

His arm caressed mine and suddenly a flash back of the night before ran through my mind. I smiled and rolled over to face him, but he wasn't there. I sat up in bed and called his name, "Josh.... Where are you?" Then I realized, the night before was a dream, the caress was just the sheets. I started to cry then, wondering why life was so cruel. So, I got up. Deciding to get on with my life, Josh had left me three years ago. It was time to get over it.1

I made my way to the kitchen and started to make breakfast, then my front door opened... My dream had become a reality, it was Josh! After all these years he was back! Running to him I wrapped my arms around him, kissing him. We walked back into the kitchen together and I continued to make breakfast.2

After we ate we talked. He told me stories about his trip, he apologized again and again about leaving me. He told me he met someone there. Someone who he really loved. So... Josh was getting married, and not to me. All the waiting was for nothing.... 3

It's funny how life works...4

Well I agree, I really like the story behind it, but I think, if you just, like, take the time to spruce it up a bit, you know...make it longer, add more detail, maybe some dialogue, it would make a really awesome story. Because right now, all it is, is a really awesome idea.
