"Hey Naku!" A black haired boy called to a brown eyed girl as she wrote in a small blue book and softly spoke to herself. "Wanna play ball with us?"14

"Naku." The boy called again not having gotton a resopnse from the girl. "You wanna play or not?" This time the brown eyed girl, Naku, looked up at him and nodded. "Then come on." The boy shouted only to have Naku shake her head 'no' at him. Raising an eyebrow in confusion the bot walked twords Naku as she retuned to her book.19

"Hey Naku why won't you come play if you want to?" The black haired boy asked as he came to stand beside his friend who had just closed her book.27

Naku looked at him with a small smile. "I would love to play but the doctors say that I have to stay off the soccer feild from now on least I become permenently crippled."28

The boy looked at his friend and sighed at what he saw. Naku was small for a 13 year old, with pale skin, dull eyes covered by glasses, and a thin bony body she wasn't in the best physical health even though she loved to play sports. "Well why don't you be the Ref. and hang out in the shad to keep score?"29

With a small smile Naku nodded. "Ok, I'll be there in a moment." She said quickly opening her book and writing something down as her friend nodded and ran ahead to the feild.30

Naku shut the book and stood to limp over to the shaded part of the feild and start the game for her friends. "Of course it hurts, it hurts so much."37
