Betrayal Ch 2

It took Tommy only 45 minutes to help Denise with her math. Afterwards they cuddled and watched TV. Denise rested her head on Tommy's chest as he stroked her brown hair. She looked up into his brown eyes and he lowered his head for a kiss. They kissed for about five minutes, when the door opened. It was Dylan who looked hurt.1

"Dylan, its not what it looks like," Denise said, jumping up. Dylan rolled his eyes and said, "Oh really, Denise? I walk in to find you cuddling with another guy and kissing him. And its not what it looks?" He glared at Tommy and said, "I would recommend you get the bunny out of here or I will pound your face in." "Maybe I don't want to leave," Tommy challenged. Denise put her head in her hands, knowing that Tommy just screwed up.2

Dylan was like a bolt of lighting grabbing Tommy by the shirt and kicking him out the door. "And you can go crying to your mama for all I care," he shouted. Denise hadn't moved from the couch. She knew the look in Dylan's blue eyes already. Hurt and angry.3

"Why are you doing this to me, Denise," Dylan asked sitting down beside of her. "I don't know. I guess cause I'm unsure of what I want," Denise softly said. "Look, we've been together for half of a year," Dylan said. "You know I love you. I know that you're hurting from your parents divorce, but I wouldn't do this to you." Denise cried on Dylan's shoulder. He just held her and then asked, "What do you want, Denise? Just tell me that."4

"I want my security back. Knowing what I want," Denise cried. "I'll help you out the best I can, baby, I promise you that," Dylan said quietly. "But what about Tommy? Do you want to be with him? Are you gonna keep betraying me?" This hadn't been the first time Denise had betrayed him. He just kept forgiving her because he loved her more than anything. 5

"I promise, I won't," Denise said. Dylan wiped away her tears and said, "Let's go get some pizza."6
