Two graves lie, side by side, so close that either skeletal hand could reach across to the other, if only earth did not stand a barrier between them. So close were they that a keen observer might have stopped to make inquiries as to the space between them in such an unused cemetary. 1
One holds the corpse of a young girl, whose life was taken by her own hands, after only thirteen years of living it. She left behind her nothing but a note, explaining to the world all her secret tears - every reason she had ever had for suicide: "Brother fucks me, Daddy left me, Mother slept with another man." She couldn't stand her pointless existence.2
Buried in 2004. 3
Beside her lies an old man who died sixty years after her, at the age of sixty-three. They said that old age had gotten him. All his life, he had lived in rain, hoping he'd see his rainbow, but it never came. He died alone. No one stood at his funeral, no tears watered the dirt of his grave as he was buried. His life was an painful abyss of isolation. So what's to say he hadn't died of a lonely heart?4
The neighbours lying in their final resting places never knew eachother. They were strangers of life, but they should have met. The old man should not have died lonely, the girl should not have died so young. It was not their fate. And only god knows why Destiny was thwarted so long. 5
So, keen observer, you can just move on. The gravekeeper can't answer your questions, neither of you can understand that no matter how many forces work against her, Destiny always comes through in the end.6

brilliant!
Wow that was so good. I don't have the imagination to think of anything that good at all. I just say what I'm thinking. I can't think of anything that would be as good as that please keep up the stories. I love reading them.

Now, I've read the poem, and the story, but I belive that they were both excellent, but the poem did more for me. It was shorter and all that bit more powerful. But this story tells more, which is maybe why it didnt have the same affect on me. But it was still brilliant. Great job!
