through the eyes of a soldier

the men marched on... row by row... squadron by squadron... not any expressions appeared faces as they marched through the streets.1

"LEFT! LEFT! LEFT! RIGHT! LEFT!" A mans voice beckoned throughout the village, as they marched on. Knowing they just signed their lives away on one piece of paper, to fight for their country. 2

Dogs barked at the men, and children stop-ed while they were at play.... Everything just seemed to go to an Erie dead silence when the men marched by... Their wives and loved ones stood in the doorway, hanker chief in hand saying farewell to their heroic husbands.... More and more men fell in to another squadron. It was so heroic, with all the different commands being yelled out... 3

Suddenly an explosion blew up the nearest tavern... I could hear the rifles being fired in the distance... but why? this wasn't supposed to happen here, what about our families? 4

"PREPARE YOUR WEAPONS MEN!!" with this one command everyone knew that....5
