Five Fingers

once there was a little girl name Katie Windwood, and she lived with her widowed father her father didn't get paid a lot of money, and Katie's sixth birthday was coming up. he wanted to make this one special, because this was the first birthday without her mom (she died only eight months before). he saved up all his money from the store he worked at for the perfect gift. one day, he was at Wal-mart, looking in the toy department a week before Katie's birthday. then he turned on isle 5 and saw the cutest little stuffed clown with five fingers held up, as if he were waving. he could talk with a press of a button, and was on sale for five dollars. and there was only one more left. a Wal-mart worker passed by and said, 'who are you getting that for?' and Mr.Windwood replied, 'I'm considering it for my daughter's sixth birthday.' the salesman said, 'well, whatever you do, do not leave her by herself with that doll. we have many people return that.' the father was going to ask why, but it was almost 3:00 and he had to get Katie from school. 'thank you.' he replied. as he made his way to the cash register, he couldn't help noticing he was getting weird looks from everyone, but ignored them. everyone in front of him in the line let him go first. 'wow, it must be my lucky day.' he said joyfully. what he didn't know, was that luck was going to end. he put the sack in the trunk, to hide away from Katie and picked her up late from school. 'what took so long?' she asked. 'nothing,' he replied. as soon as they got to their 4-bedroom house, he hid her gift on the top shelf of the pantry, where he hid the cookies, candy and anything else a normal 5 turning 6-year old would want. a week went by, and Katie Allison Windwood was six years old. her father never left her alone with the clown, and she loved it. 10 years went by, and Katie was a teenager. sadly, she was getting bad grades and her boyfriend had dumped her. her dad called and said he would be late coming in, and to start dinner. she hung out in her room, and pulled out a toy chest that held all of her toys when she was a child. she saw her clown and threw it across the room. 'stupid clown.' she was having a bad day, and as a teenager blamed everyone for anything that went wrong. 'do not throw me.' the clown said. Katie kicked him across the room. 'do not kick me, i do not like it.' at that point, Katie wasn't paying attention to him. she was thinking about Todd, her ex-bf. she felt something at her feet. it was the clown. 'go away you stupid clown,' she said. she flung him out the open window. she turned around and there, was standing the clown. 'what the-' a force threw her across the room. she fell into the closet door. 'you don't like being thrown, do you? what makes you think i do?' he said, with a mysterious smile. she was thrust out of the window, except, it was closed. precious ruby red blood drip from her body. she was ready to run away, but the clown sent her back through the window. 'leave me alone!' she begged. the clown laughed hysterically, and opened his mouth widely. 1 hour later, her father came home. she hadn't prepared dinner, and her room's light was on, with the window completely shot out. 'Katie, honey, where are you?' he went straight to her room, not ready for what was in there. as he trudged up the stairs and found a stack of bones, with no meat on a single one. next to it, he found the adorable clown he got for her sixth birthday, with blood on his teeth and hands, that were holding not five, but six fingers up. the father immediately called the cops. the cops took the clown away, and sold it to the local Wal-mart. how it ends: well, it turned out a dead clown's evil spirit had overcome a stuffed toy that was irresistible to young parents. the father eventually remarried, and had 3 beautiful children, leaving behind his painful past. why there was six fingers lifted up: well, 5 people had bought the doll before, and the clown killed all five child owners. a six finger was held up to symbolize the sixth life taken. now he sits at Wal-mart, with six fingers held up, on isle six, for six dollars, where it sits and collects dust.1

    Never heard it before.

It was all spaced together. Little use of capitalization. It had enough horror in it but hard to take seriously with all the lines running together. It had no really big build up because it was one long string of words.

    overall: 4.

maybe they could use the wal-mart supercenter!! they have a buncha aisles, lol. they are really EXTEREMELY tooooo happy for me. they freak me out. those HUGE EYES! those LONG SHOES AND FEET!!! those GIANT RED NOSES!! it's a wonder they can even fit into those little colorful cars. you know with their little freakish clown friends. i wonder if clowns need therapy, or are people who used therapy but it didn't work. that was random, but maybe that's why they are so crazy, cuz they need therapy and/or psychological help. aka, I THINK THEY ARE PSYCHO MANIACS WHO NEED THERAPY!! but that is just my opinion. what do YOU think? oh, and thanks fo rthe comment!

Makes me think of this dream I had last week... lol.... but In my dream the clown had to kill ten kids to be freed from the toy... each time he killed he got a little bit bigger... when he killed the ninth child I was there... I caught him and then trapped him where he could never kill anyone again...
