Prologue: Monique fled to New York, and found herself having a schizoid life. In day she was the successful publisher of a prestigious company, at night she was the amorous individual of various sexual devours.1
Monique went to work again - same old boots, same old trenchcoat. Her blue eyes glimpsed in shock as she saw a familiar figure - one that she tried to forget over the years. One who scarred her dignity and innocence. He had the same aristocratic look, except his blue eyes were not pure, but filled with maliciousness and hatred.2
She walked pass him with a superior glance. Yet, he grabbed her....and touched her hips.3
Shocked, terrified, yet vicious (towards her father) -Monique thrusted all of her strength and dragged him to an alleyway, where dark-some statesmen and fearsome misers once dealt.4
Her father did not give up,5
'Listen Monique, I just come here to visit you..'6
'Yes, molesting me in front of the public of New York'7
'But I am so proud of you that..I crave to see you. I am addicted to you, Monique. I divorce your mother; I abandon all my girlfriends over the year.'8
'See me for what?' - she asked ferociously9
The four lettered word mumble out of his dirty mouth - 'Lust'10
He began groping her breasts in the public, and attempted to indulge in this forever paradise of lust. Violating his once-innocent daughter into fragments of broken confidence and sending himself into the infernos.11
He reached for her pants.12
'Wait...' Monique whispered.13
Under that BCBG pants, she had hidden a gun. Perhaps her withered life ultimately drifted her to vulnerability and insecurity, that she needed a gun. A weapon to protect herself against the evils that the world directed to her. 14
BAM - A gunshot. Her father collapsed with streams of blood oozing from his beige shirt. Blood of the guilty and the lustful. His opened eyes seem to be a symbol of shock and remorse. His fingers hanged onto his pants, where his palm held a heart-shaped necklace. Yet, the heart crushed as soon as Monique shot him.15
He finally passed away.16
Although Monique was persecuted into the New York state court with the crime of murder, family witnesses expressed strongly about their motives and wishes to kill the father. This led to a thorough investigation of Monique's father, in which the judge found his 14 crimes, including rape, murder, stealing and computer crimes. 17
Consequently, the verdict stated 'Although Ms. Monique LeBraun committed a crime of murder, witnesses, past records and her continuous experiences of molest shown that she is compelled to kill him for self protection. Ms. LeBraun, you are free to go.'18
Monique later married her lawyer and gained a degree in law. She and her husband spent most of their lives defending cases of rape and sexual murder, and affiliating themselves with a special police unit who tries to arrest molesters.19

At first I thought it would have a legal ending, but the poll led to another feminist story.

It's just so refreshing to finally have a good ending! God knows that we have too many tragedies going on in the world already. I'm glad that you took my opinion as to how the story should end. I'm also greatful that you kept on writing for me sake because believe me it turned out to be an inspiring piece.
It's a reminder that no matter what happened in our pasts, there's still a chance fpr us to turn our lives around. I think it's about survival and overcoming all the odds!

I thought that this was a very cool story. Its neat and I like that its short and has a "happy ending". While the beginning of the story isn't so happy, its neat to see what happens to someone when they refuse to be a victim. I'm glad she shot her father, man if my dad did something like that, I think I might have shot him too. Ugh that's disgusting. Well anyways, very nice write, hope to read more in the future. (BTW, and this is a totally random add-on to this comment, I love the name Monique. Just thought I'd mention that...yea...ok) Well, I'm moving on to other stories now, cool story, good writing!!
