a spectred shadow of stealth16
The hunter and the hunted17
The haunter and the haunted18
Motions without thought19
deeds without needs 20
desires without wants21
"No not one with the beast, as a beast"22
Yet it dreams23
A warrior rides out of the west24
wishing to win the hand of the woman he loves25
the daughter of a great house26
with great tradition, and destiny27
A noble woman28
He is rude29
as rough hewn 30
man of common stock31
but his skill32
his courage33
make him believe34
he is worthy.35
The odds are impossible36
The cause hopeless37
Yet hesitate do I not38
and try to storm 39
archer-ed walls40
The battle is terrible41
and great casualties are untold42
wounded unto death 43
was where this tale would unfold44
Before the face of his beloved45
that of perfection he beholds46
