What Happened?! (Douze)

Mrs. Delia and Amber went back to the surgery waiting room hoping that they would get to see their loved one soon. 2

Amber, half smiling, said, "Mrs. Delia, I am so happy you like me because I don't know what I would've done if I would've had to gone through this alone."3

"I'm just happy you really care about and love my son, sweets. I'm glad he has you."4

Both smiling they walked through the OR waiting room door. 5

"What got into ya'll? When ya'll left, ya'll looked like zombies." Jos' dad joked.6

"We just realized that Jos IS gonna pull through this because he loves us honey." Jos' mom said to her husband.7

A nurse came and asked for a Mr. Forte. Jos' dad stood up. The nurse told them that Jos was in surgery recovery and that only his blood relatives could see him. 8

"I can't see him...?" Amber asked through streaming tears.9

"I'll make sure you can go back there, Amber." smiled Joscelin's mom. "I will make sure you do."10

"Thank you!" She ran over and hugged Mrs. Forte with all of her might.11
