Tonight

For months the pain, the anger, the unwanted hate and jealousy has been growing inside me. The past few weeks I have tried everything to exorcise it from my system but it was rooted there like a cancer. An incurable form and nothing could dull the pain.1

I tried everything, exercise routines, relaxation therapies, drinking, drugs, nothing worked. It was as if I was meant to have this forever. 2

Then one day when I returned home from another day of self hate and longing. I entered my room with the thought of changing and playing on my dreamcast while I thought of ways to cure my cancer, but as I entered there it was. My cure! 3

It was almost as if someone had planted it there ready for me, as if someone somewhere knew of my pain. I took it in my hands, a warmth rushed over me like never before. Out of all my other ‘cures’ I could actually feel this one working and I hadn’t even used it. 4

I held it against my skin and pressed down lightly. A shiver ran down my spine, that’s when I knew what I must do. 5

I ripped my vein open with it the feeling was amazing. All my anger, hate, pain and jealousy was seeping out. The blood spilled everywhere, over my shirt, over my bed and over my floor. I tried to clean it up in case someone came in but as fast as I was cleaning it, it was pouring out of me, all my unwanted lingering emotions were going with it. 6

I tired to make it stop, I pressed my towel against it. It continued to pour.7

I tried to make it stop8

I tried to make it stop9

I tried to make it…10

nice way of ending it, fantastic descriptions throughout it as well, laying out all the raw feelings amazingly, i have to say i don't agree with what the cure was but i loved the way you told the story. interesting way to refer to the unhappiness as a cancer, seemed very fitting, fantastically done, great write

I like this but it seems to leave you wondering if hes ever done anything with his cure before or if it was the first time. I dunno thats just a thought that poped into my head cool write

excellent ending. Not completely original in idea...I mean, cutting is an age old topic, but nevertheless well contrstucted and definitely well told. Your ending was perfect, I can't stress that enough. The one method that seems to create and alleviate pain at the same time. Your story was short but to the point, not wasting time with useless phrases and sentences better left out. Excellent job on this!

This is cool, I like the way you ended it and the way you didn't tell us what the "cure" was right away. Good job.
