why wolvs and cyotes howl at the moon

one day wolf went to coyotes house1

"good morning'" said coyote as he opened the door, "come in."2

when wolf came in side he told coyote "i have a grand idea to make us money!"3

"what would that be" asked coyote4

"you know the moon is made of cheese right?" asked wolf5

"of course who doesn't?" replied coyote6

"well," said wolf "if we found a way to the moon we could bring back the cheese and sell it to the mice and rats!"7

"what a grand idea!" exclaimed coyote8

so wolf and coyote went in search of a really strong rope to help them get to the moon. after searching the ground they went to see god for his help.9

"what is it you want?" asked god when the entered his house10

"we want the strongest rope in the world" replied coyote11

"why do you need this rope?" asked god12

so wolf explained the "grand plan" to god while god chuckled to himself.13

"well," god answered "take this" god handed the two a long rope14

"is this the best rope?" asked coyote15

"yes" replied god16

so wolf and coyote left and waited. when night came they made the rope into a lasso and lassoed the moon. without checking to see if the rope was safe wolf and coyote started to climb. halfway up the rope slipped off the moon wolf and coyote landed on the beach as the rope slipped into the sea. now wolf blamed coyote and coyote blamed wolf for not checking the rope.the two once were best friends were so angry they went to different places to live.and every night they ask god for more rope so they can try the "grand plan" once again while god just chuckles to himself.17
