Follow me * into a reverie * *1
*2
* * * * *3
* *4
Where I * recall how,* once, * * *5
* * * * * *6
* *7
On a winter's * night long,* long ago * * * * * * * *8
*I learned * how to see * beauty. * * * *9
* * * * * *10
*Simply by *looking around* me I found it; * * *11
* * * * * * *12
Deep in a * snow & frost * covered *pine forest * * * * * * *13
* * * * *14
With* the wind *howling through * the trees, * *15
* * * * * * * *16
Coming * across the great * Lake Michigan expanse * *17
* * * * * * *18
The * currents are * frigid and the frail * are fearful; * *19
* * * * * * * *20
Here, truly, only the strongest survive. * * * 21
* * * * * *22
Watching through * the trailer’s living * room window * *23
* * * * * * *24
Diamonds seem * to fall from the * sky; * * * *25
* * * * * * *26
In * reality snow * flakes float * in the night * * *27
* * * * * 28
And sparkle * under the street light * * * * 29
* * * * * * *30
You installed in *your driveway * * * *31
* * * * *32
To* bring to light * the night life * * * *33
* * * * * * * *34
Living deep * in the Mid*western * Michigan woods.* * * * * *35

yum a delight to read such beauty stunning work

This piece is different, but beautifully conceived and beautifully rendered.
Although many may miss the meaning, I thought the use of asterisks was compelling and creative. Obviously, the asterisks are symbolic of snowflakes....nature's diamonds.
Sometimes true creativity is never appreciated until long after the artist has laid aside his brushes and pallet.As long as you are creating something that has meaning and beauty in your eyes, never be discouraged.

I asked for stories. this is as a poem and all of the astrisks do nothing for me. I am sorry, but I do not consider this a valid entry for this contest.
Thank you.
