Vanessa was in love with Tim she would constantly talk about him, think of him, dream of him, and whenever he came near and she would see him she'd be smiling inside. She didn't know if he felt the same or if he even knew she was alive, but either way it didn't stop her form feeling this way. Her friends told her to confront him with the way she felt about him. She didn't want to appear crazy for loving him so. Though something inside her was always telling her to tell him. Something kept telling her not to let go, not to give up. She wouldn't let go of these feelings, she wouldn’t give up, and she would not tell him how she felt.1

Vanessa was at school one day talking to one of her friends, Camiel; Camiel had no idea that Vanessa liked Tim. Camiel and Vanessa were talking.2

Vanessa said "ewww, don't eat that."3

"Why?" said Camiel looking at her like what the heck you're weird.4

“Do you know how bad that is for you?” Said Vanessa5

“No and I don’t really care”6

“Well you should, there is partially hydrogenated oils in it, and those are really bad for you”7

“Everything is bad for you.”8

“No, fruits and vegetables aren’t.”9

“Oh my God, you know who would be perfect for you?”10

“No, Who?” Vanessa says with a sarcastic look on her face.11

“Tim”12

Vanessa looks puzzled and thinks deeply maybe there is a chance for me after all. Vanessa gets up and walks away thinking. She arrives to her next class, the one Tim is in, and at the end of class she looks at him deeply then walks over to him.13

“Tim?” she says.14

“Yes?”15

“Um…”16

“Yes?”17

“You dropped your pencil.”18

“Ok…thanks.”19

Vanessa starts to walk away.20

“Vanessa?”21

“Yes?”22

“This isn’t my pencil.”23

“Oh, I thought it was.”24

“Nope, It’s not.”25

Vanessa was telling herself to tell him, telling herself over and over. She thinks of everything she wants to say and she starts to say it.26

“Tim, I……. I…I…”27

“You what?”28

“I’ll see you tomorrow.”29

“Ok, Bye.”30

Later that night Vanessa was watching T.V at her house all alone and cooking dinner. Tim was at his house writing a letter to Vanessa telling her how much he loves her and has since he first laid eyes on her. He put her name, address, and a stamp on the letter and drove to the post office, he put it in the mailbox. On his way home he got in a terrible accident and was put in the hospital. Vanessa heard about it and went down there immediately she told him how she felt about him and gave him a kiss. The beeping of his lifeline slowed then went to a flat beep. The nurse made her leave the room shortly after she left he was gone forever. Three days passed and she got the letter it read.31

Dear sweet Vanessa,32

Ever since the first day I laid eyes on you it’s been so hard to take them off you, I’ve been wanting to tell you I love you for the longest time, I’ve just been too shy. So I’m telling you this way, it’s much easier, though it would probably be nicer for me to say I love you rather than write it. I would love to spend every day with you. My life is empty; with you it will be full. I ask of you two things sweet Vanessa, will you fill my life? Will you lead me to brighter days? I only hope that you will. See you in school.33

Vanessa read this letter with her eyes full of tears. She beat herself up for not telling him how she felt. If only she could turn back time. She would tell him exactly how she felt. “Listen to what you are being told by your heart before you get it broken and always let the people you love know you love them before they are gone.” She spoke to herself.36
