I'm Not Going Home Alone: The Final Chapter

" "You fucking cheater! How the fuck are you going to survive in a fight alone unless your posse holds them down!?" I was so pissed off I could have just taken all three of them out, but that's speaking out of rage, I'm sure I really couldn't. I was wondering what he was going to do, as he reached into his pocket. "What the hell do you think you're doing? You really want to kill me?" "1

I couldn't believe what he just pulled out, into the open cold air. A real loaded gun. He cocked it once just to prove it was real and loaded, to scare me and shut me up. Oh, it shut me up all right. But Jane screamed out, "OH MY GOODNESS ROGER! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?" trying to draw attention to the situation, but obviously with the music going on, no one in or near the dance could here he screams. Roger pointed the gun at her, saying, "What girl? You're mad because your little cheating boyfriend over here is going to die right before your eyes? You know you'll always have me to fuck, even after I send you off, just like the other sluts." She was enraged, ready to rip his head off of his shoulders like there was no tomorrow. "But he didn't cheat! You liar! He would never do that to me!" She went on and on, as the jock posse grew tired of just waiting for Roger to shoot me, giving me chances to break free that I would use at a later time.2

Roger kept playing around with the gun, like he didn't know how to use it right. I mean he's a dumbass, with C's and F's in all his classes, but anyone knows you have to pull the trigger. I didn't think he had the balls to waste his future career and life and bring a gun to school, and even less did I think he would shoot someone for getting mad at a lie he started.3

We were there for about 5 minutes, stalemating and waiting until Roger would figure out how to shoot me, and build up the courage. I got fed up with it and tried to talk to him about it, get him to stop, yelling out questions. "Is this really what you want? Are you really going to throw your possible career down the drain over a fucking rumor, THAT YOU STARTED!?" He replied, "No, I'm not...I'm going to kill you and frame your girlfriend over here!"4

"HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU GOING TO DO THAT!?!? YOUR FINGERPRINTS ARE ALL OVER THE GUN!!!" I yelled out, confused and enraged he even thought the idea.5

"SHUTUP BOY! I'll find a way, I'm not going to go down with out a fight!" he yelled.6

"WITHOUT A FIGHT!?" That just didn't make sense at that point. "If you're not going down without a fight then let your pussy posse let me go so we can really fight, not just you kill me and blame it on Jane."7

"Fine," he said, and they let me go. "Just let me-" I socked him before he could finish his sentence, sending his gun at least 20 or 30 feet away from the fight. Jane finally went to find security. At this point I didn't care if I got suspended or expelled even. I was defending myself in this case, after he pulled out the gun. At least now he was hitting back harder, but I ended up blocking most of them.8

When Jane started to come back with security, the jock posse that was holdng me back fled. At the same time, I took one good shot at Roger's  jaw, seeming as if I almost knocked it out of his mouth entirely. "Break it up! Break it up!" the security guard said, as I stepped back from Roger.9

As they tried to take care of Roger, one of the guards talked to Jane and me, asking us questions. The others found the gun and called in the police to arrest Roger, since they found extra bullets in his pocket.10

Luckily, in the end, I got by with 4 weeks of in-school detention during lunch, and after-school detention for 5. I was expecting expulsion, but they said that with the fact I was defending myself and Jane from a gun, they would let me off easy. Unfortunately, though, I have community service from the cops for 30 days. But i'm hoping that if I act in good behavior that I met get let out of it early. But we'll see.11

Roger was sent to Juvinile Hall for 5 months, and expelled from the district. They also found out a couple other things about that night; Roger had alcohol in his system, along with cocaine and heroin, he also stole that gun from his dad, which wasn't necesarily out in the open. The gun was hidden in a chest in their attick, so it was obviously not meant to be used by anyone in an emergency, but it was a family tradition to pass it down from oldest son to oldest son, according to his father. Since he was living with his mom at the time, he was convicted of stealing. They say he was let off easy, even if it was his first offense. As for his posse, they were all kicked off of the football team permenantly and now have detention for 2 weeks.12

I never wanted anything like this to happen, not over a rumor. I'm just glad that in the end, I still had Jane to be with, and we couldn't be any better. Although I don't have the chance to see her as often because of my punishments, we still have time to hang out.13

I do regret that night14

With all of my will and might15

But never again will I fight16

And risk seeing daylight17

I love my girl and still18

I know I always will19

He got what was coming20

And that's the end of my story.21

... THE END ...22

or is it?23
