Everyday Whitney and Dreamer would play Frisbee,1
Dreamer never, ever missed.2
One day at breakfast Whitney's mommy said she had a surprise,3
The whole family was going to go on a picnic.4
Whitney was so excited she ran outside to tell Dreamer,5
They played for an hour before Whitney had to leave.6
Soon Whitney and her family were on the way to the park,7
When they arrived her daddy and big brother set up the grill,8
While mommy and Whitney laid out the big blanket.9
Whitney's brother asked her if she wanted him to push her on the swings,10
She was so happy because her brother was usually too busy to play with her.11
While laughing and swinging higher than she ever went before,12
Whitney noticed some boy throwing Frisbee's to their dogs.13
Some of the dogs were pretty good,14
But not as good as Dreamer.15
Once they got tired of swinging they walked by the boys,16
She heard them talking about a contest the next weekend.17
Her brother asked what kind of contest?18
They told him that there was going to be a Frisbee contest,19
The best dog would win $20.20
Whitney's eyes grew big,21
$20 was a lot of money to a little girl.22
She asked where can you sign up,23
They told her at the pet store.24
After a big lunch she asked her brother to take her to the pet store,25
He laughed at her but then said OK, lets go.26
When they got there she asked the man behind the counter if she could sign up for the Frisbee contest,27
He handed her brother the form to fill out.28
He asked what kind of dog do you have little one,29
She replied, Does it have to be a dog sir?30
The man laughed at her and said no, 31
But I have never seen another animal catch a Frisbee.32
When they got home that day,33
Whitney ran to the barn to tell Dreamer.34
It was the longest week ever, 35
The waiting was driving her crazy.36
They practiced everyday,37
Finally it was Saturday.38
Her brother put Dreamer in the back of the truck,39
and off they went to the park.40
On the way her brother told her that some people may laugh,41
No cow has ever been in a Frisbee contest.42
Whitney said that's because none of them were Dreamer,43
They laughed all the way to the park.44
When they arrived they were both surprised,45
There was at least 50 dogs there.46
They watched from the truck until it got close to Dreamers turn,47
There were many good dogs in the contest.48
Whitney was getting nervous,49
Dreamer licked the side of her face, as if to say we can do it.50
Finally their turn came,51
Whitney proudly walked into the field with Dreamer by her side.52
All the people started laughing at them,53
She heard someone yell "A Cow is never going to catch a Frisbee".54
Whitney whispered to Dreamer "You can do it",55
She threw the Frisbee and Dreamer chased it and caught it.56
Everyone was quiet now,57
They believed that a cow can catch a Frisbee.58
To win Dreamer had to catch 20 Frisbee's in a row,59
She made it look so easy.60
She jumped really high to catch number 19,61
One more to go Whitney said to Dreamer.62
When Whitney threw the last Frisbee she slipped,63
It went very high in the air.64
The crowd gasped,65
Whitney yelled "Oh No".66
But Dreamer chased it anyway,67
She jumped higher than she ever jumped before.68
Barely tapping the Frisbee with her nose,69
The Frisbee started to wobble.70
Dreamer landed on the ground,71
All of the sudden,72
Dreamer jumped again and came down with the Frisbee.73
Everyone was cheering,74
Whitney ran and gave Dreamer a big hug.75
The next day the morning paper had a special headline,76
It read "Holy Cow" with a picture of Whitney and Dreamer.77
Everyone in town now believes what Whitney knew along,78
Dreamer was one special cow.79

This is really cute... I like the 2nd attempt a lot.. Your getting better and better as the sequels go on... Good Job

it's a great story, but it should be written as a STORY. just because you center each line on the page doesn't make it poetry. I think you'd do much better setting it up as a story on your page and right-aligning all the text, indenting for paragraphs and let the story be told that way.

This is a really well written story. I'm just wondering why it is written in poetry form? While I was readin I was thinking that it would work better in paragraphs instead of poetry form. Its just my personal opinion mind you, but yea.
I love it you know, this is really just so cute! I'm sure all kkids will go crazy about it...if they have good taste
