chpt.2~Ashlan

The ache finally left Ashlan`s head as she lay silent, the pills were kicking in now and she could feel her insides relaxing. Though she wasn't sure how many pills she had taken but she knew that they were working now. Things began to swirl in front of her face and she felt dizzy, she started to drift off when a knock came at the door. Her body shook violently and she reached for the door knob. The door swung open and Chris came running at her.1

"Ashlan are you alright?" it sounded like he was yelling, she looked toward the night table where the pill bottle lay. 2

Chris picked it up, he scooped her up off of the bed and rushed to her to car. The wheels spun out and they were headed toward the hospital.3

"Just hold on baby!" is all she could hear while he was driving and he took one last quick turn and they were there, Ashlan couldn't feel a thing as Chris lifter from the car and carried her into the emergency room.4

"I need a doctor over here!" she could hear him yelling and she saw doctors running to strap her to a bed, her body was weak and she was defenseless.5

"Whats wrong with her?" she heard one of the doctors ask, "I honestly do not know.."Chris said, Ashlan could see that he was freaking out his hands pulled on his hair while his eyes got too big for his face. She hated when he made that face she said it made him look like a horny blow fish.6

The doctors pumped on her stomach for what seemed like hours and then she threw up three times afterwards. She fell asleep sometime after nine and when she woke Chris was sitting there next to her .. something told her that he was waiting all night for her to wake up. His face was pale, and under his eyes were dark circles.7

"Come, get in here with me baby" she said lifting the blankets toward him.8

"I don't think we are aloud to do that" he said looking around9

"who cares?" She said pulling him in next to her, Chris` head bobbed and they both fell asleep.10
