The Last City

The blue sun shines down across the white, sandy dunes, lighting up the black sky. Onle one creature walks across this scene. Her shape is vaguely human, but her shape seems of water. Her curves shine blue under the sky, her nude body shimmering with her lips of pearls and cat-eyed stare. Her hair like a breaking wave in constant motion as though a wind runs through it. She moves gracefully across the sand leaving no footprints. She stops to examine her surroundings, which are bleak and lonely. The sea of white sand stretches on, except for a mile farther. One black patch, almost impossible to see even with the intensity of the contrast. She spots this and her pearl lips turn up in a smile. She whispers to herself in a soft flowy voice, "The last city."1
