She just sighed and glared at him as he watched her drown in her pain and her drinks. "Jeez, get a hint and bugger off." she muttered, rolling her eyes.
He sighed and stood, leaving quietly without looking back. If he had bothered to he would have noticed the watery green eyes watching him leave.
/I just made you up to hurt myself/
/And it worked/
/Yes it did!/
She turned back to Jack, clutching the bar to stop the world form spinning. She watched as all the colors began to run into each other, leaving a bright hazy technicolor blur behind. She quietly gestured for another shot and after some hesitation Jack handed it to her.

Muttering about assholes she drank the shot and paid her tab, then stood up to leave. She swayed dangerously, but eventually managed to get to the door and out onto the sidewalk.
/The tiniest little dot caught my eye and it turned out to be a scab and I had this funny feeling/
/Like I just knew it was something bad/
Walking in the general direction of what she hoped was home, Alex's mind wandered to earlier that day, the reason she was in the bar in the first place.
/I just couldn't leave it alone, picking at that scab/

~Flashback~
"Hello? Josh, I'm home." Alex walked into their studio apartment, looking around for her fiancé. "Josh?" Figuring he might be taking a nap on his day off, she decided to surprise him and snuck to their bedroom.
/But I climbed through/
/Now I am somewhere I am not supposed to be, and I can see things I knew I really shouldn’t see/
A shocked cry rang out through the midday air as Alex opened the door and saw something she wished she hadn't.
~End Flashback~
/And now I know why (yeah, now I know why)/
Right before she passed out, Alex smiled. 'At least I found out before I married the bastard.'

Okay, this is revamped as well. Kind of a cliffhanger ending, but yeah, hope you liked it.

That’s such an immaculate story ! Do you write as well ? I'm a fan of the pike books (horror) And that would be excellent !
