Denial Waits. Chapter Eightteen.

Chapter Eighteen: Murder Tramp.1

It was ten minutes into group already and Iskra felt like she was being analysed from angles, everybody had their eyes on her, waiting for her story and reason for killing the orderly. Looking around she even noticed Orihime staring at her intently, Iskra didn’t know though, the glasses concealed where her eyes were looking. Coughing a little, she tried to something. She would be made fun if she told them the reason, how tormented she was from being sexually abused for a child. It left her with a need for blood and sexual activity all wrapped in one neat present. 2

‘You already know my reason behind things. But you want more then that. After the years of my fathers hands all over my body, and the beatings he would give in between I began to see a pattern, he enjoyed me bloody and weak, but still active enough to do what he tells me, like bend over or take it in the mouth until he came.’ The room stayed silent. Iskra went on. ‘I became immune to it, but then one day a client hit me and I bled, I hit him back and we kept going, but then I realised how much I actually enjoyed receiving the abuse, making them bleed. It became a habit, I got a lot more clients after that, made a comfortable amount of money.’3

Grisk was taking it in, a large, toad shaped grin wrapped around the lines of her Botox lips. Writing down word for word the sick and twisted mind of the young girl in front of her, she didn’t a believe a word of it, but then there were parts that deemed true. She knew that much, but the other she wondered, if she had enough money then why didn’t she get out of the business and settle down somewhere nice?4

‘Then I killed a man. One of the other girls came in to tell me time was up, and the next client was waiting for me. Her scream was rather comical, I tell you, the way it raised three octaves.’ The group rolled their eyes, Zac snickered and gave a fake scream of his own, Grisk snapped at them to be quiet and pay attention. ‘I was asleep on the man, covered in his blood, over my face, my breasts, and legs, everywhere. I think it was more the massacre I slept on that destroyed the poor girl.’ Iskra remembered the memory, it wasn’t very pleasant. That was the beginning of her attempts at suicide. 5

‘I adapted into this, all the places I worked I would get comfortable, popular, then I would make a mistake, slip up and someone would die. But it didn’t overly bother me; I needed the feel of blood, the warmth as it pumped from the body.’6

‘Necro freak.’ Someone from the back shouted, Grisk clapped her hands sharply and the laughter that followed the pay out ended in a moment, Iskra burned red with embarrassment over the words, she knew she wasn’t one but it still bothered her a lot. 7

‘Thank you Iskra, I believe that was sufficient enough for today.’ Grisk placed her clipboard neatly at her feet. ‘Now does anyone have anything they would like to say to Iskra about this?’ 8

‘Do you remember the looks on their faces? Remember their family photos in their wallets, the empty need in their sex with you? I bet you do.’ Orihime smirked, arms folded across her tiny chest. ‘You certainly won’t forget your last victim or his screaming wife and mortified child that just doesn’t understand why they have to go see daddy in a cemetery, or why he can’t come home with them. Do you like that feeling to, knowing you have just torn someone apart? A family?’ 9

Tears welled in Iskra’s eyes but she forced them back as quickly as she could, emotions were welling up inside of her and she was about ready to let them out. ‘When he took his last breath, your filthy, perverted body would have been the last thing he saw, the last fleeting moment would not have been his love for the family he was leaving, but of your pathetic need to be touched by another man, the only way you can be loved.’10

‘Keep opening your mouth Orihime and I will have you placed back in isolation again. Iskra what do you think of everything Orihime just said, do you remember everything like that?’ Grisk looked condescendingly at Iskra who was shaking now, all the faces were in her mind, she saw them in place of everyone else, staring out at her through milky eyes, blood running down their faces. ‘Iskra?’ 11

‘I have to go.’ Iskra stood so quickly that her chair fell back, running from the room she headed for the closest toilet she could find. She always blacked out after a kill, locked out the memories and stopped herself from seeing their faces, why were they all back now so suddenly? Throwing herself at the toilet she threw up violently, the spaghetti came back up in chunks, mixed in with bile. 12

Laughing sounded behind her, looking around, she glared at Orihime. ‘I thought I would be a good girl and volunteer to see if you are okay. Pathetic little mess that can’t stomach a dead mans face. Are you going to be sick for the rest of your life?’ 13

Standing quickly Iskra pulled her fist back and hit Orihime as hard as she could; she fell back against the wall with the blow and slid down it with a shocked look on her face. Bobbing down Iskra grabbed Orihime’s hands before she could use them and held them down. ‘Oh Hime, how naïve you are, thinking all your words could get to me so easily. I just ate a little too much this morning is all; too much food after not eating for a long time just isn’t safe these days.’ Iskra shook a finger in front of Orihime’s face. Placing a hand against her cheek she was a little taken aback when it wasn’t like ice. ‘You’re burning?’ She placed her hand against Orihime’s head without thinking, confused.14

‘Do you mind?’ Orihime pulled her hands free quickly, and slapped her other hand away. ‘Don’t touch me!’ Standing placed her own hand against her cheek; she was burning up, her vision doubling. ‘I-I have to go.’ Orihime moved to leave but the world moved against her. 15

‘Are you okay?’ Iskra laughed, what kind of Vampire was taken out with a simple punch from a girl? ‘Hime?’ Orihime turned towards Iskra before stumbling away from her, muttering something. 16

‘This body’s too weak to fight sickness…’ Iskra followed after those words, she found it humorous to watch a Vampire stumble around like she was drunk. Zac walked out of the room they had in group and looked towards them, when he saw Orihime, he to raised his eyebrows at her condition.17

‘You okay, look a little wobbly there.’ He grabbed Orihime’s shoulder, but she pulled away, there was red in her cheeks as she shook her head, sweat running down her face. Zac turned on Iskra laughing. ‘What did you do to her?’ Right at the moment Orihime threw up before collapsing; Zac tried to grab her before she landed but her small frame slipped between his arms and thudded against the ground. 18

‘I didn’t do anything.’ Iskra walked over quickly, Zac rolled Orihime over. Iskra saw where Orihime had thrown up and noticed it was blood, spattered against the pale white tiles. She saw their faces in the crimson reflection, her stomach turned violently against them. She fell against the wall and put a hand over her mouth, swallowing against the rising bile in her throat, burning. ‘Excuse me!’ Running back to the toilets she used the same one again as she threw up. Jumbled thoughts ran through her mind, she went numb as she tried to control them, there was only one way she could fix this, and it had to be soon before she wasn’t in enough control of her body to rationally decide.
