Optimism

She smiled the smile that has been passed down throughout centuries. That half-smile that reflected a sort of pitying air. That seemed to say, "Well, if that is what you want to believe, I suppose I can play along for your sake....so as to not hurt your feelings." A Mona Lisa smile; the kind of smile that is both repressed and free; that is holding back emotions, but exudes an air of liberation that no man could destroy. A smile. A simple smile that reeks of power and superiority. That breaks the chains of emotion, and leaves you with the wary knowledge that any mistake, any slip of the lip, and your show of neutrality will fall apart and leave you bare to what you've seen before. What can possibly hold such power over a woman? What can control you so fully and totally? 1

A smile....only a smile.2

    Very impressive

You totally got me when you say that a woman only has to smile to avoid mistakes, which I guess concludes that woman are always hiding something or manipulate people or possibly men, maybe some men, to believe that everything is okay. I guess that is why you titled it optimism. You know a lot about the simplest thing and you can understand and harnest your emotions. I like it very much and it's a very sweet story.
