Elenore

Bruce watched as Elenore swung on the swings in the abandoned playground. He saw tears fall from her eyes. 1

"Why someone so beautiful as Elenore is never happy? Such beauty and she never has a smile on her face. And I've never seen her smile. If only I could provide that smile for her. But she'd never fall inlove with a guy like me,"Bruce thought to himself.2

Elenore jumped off the swing while it was in mid-air. She landed perfectly. 3

"Excuse me? Do you want to ask me something?" Elenore asked. 4

Bruce had no idea that Elenore had spotted him. 5

"Um no, I was just...just...thinking how beautiful you are," Bruce said.6

"And wondering why I was crying?" asked Elenore.7

"Why yes, that did cross my mind," Bruce replied.8

"It's because I have had my heart broken by someone who I dreamed of every night. Someone so handsome, funny, and simply amazing," Elenore explained.9

"How did this man break your heart?" Bruce inquired.10

"Well, all this time I had thought he cared about me. And maybe loved me like I loved him. But he didn't. I found that out the day I saw him holding another girl in his embrace. And when they kissed, my heart broke in half," Elenore said.11

"That is very sad and I am very sorry to hear that this has happened to you, Elenore!" said Bruce.12

"Wait, how do you know my name?" asked Elenore.13

"I...um...well here's the truth: I've been watching you for months. Ever since I saw your beautiful face and that beautiful long black hair I could never get you off my mind. I know alot of things about you but I never knew why you cried. This may sound stupid because I've never talked to before, but I'm inlove with you, Elenore. There's just something about you that I can't walk away from," Bruce said.14

Elenore started to cry. But this time they were tears of joy.15

For the first time ever, Bruce saw her smile.16

"Bruce, you are the man in my story. I've been inlove with you ever since I moved here, over a year ago," Elenore said.17

"I'm so sorry! I never knew! When that girl you saw me with broke up with me, I was broken hearted as well. I really thought I loved her until I met you. Then I knew that you were the love of my life. But I never thought you would love me back. I never thought I could make you smile," Bruce said.18

"Well you have. You definitely have. I love you so much, Bruce!" Elenore said. 19

"I love you so much too, Elenore," said Bruce.20

Elenore jumped into Bruce's arms and forever he held her. He never let her go. And another tear never fell from Elenore's beautiful brown eye. 21
