The Days of Crayola Crayons and Stick People

Red, Orange, Yelloe, Green, Blue, Purple, Black, Brown, and Gray.1

With these 9 colored crayons
We created everythting,
From houses to dogs,
SponeBob to Tweety Tweety Bird,
Fruits to vegetables,
And hearts to animals.
But what did we draw the most?
We drew our friends, our family.
We drew people.
Stick People.2

Our drawings back then didn't need to be perfectly detailed.
All we needed were some crayons and some paper.
From there, our imaginations flew.3

But now, its become so much more complicated;
Life and everything about living is hard.4


And sometimes, I wish to return to those days,
The days of Crayola Crayons and Stick People.
Back then, everything was easier.
Sure, colors were mismatched, but who cared?
We didn't mind.
Our lives and our pictures didn't have to be perfect.
They weren't perfect.
But they were filled with love. 5
