First Kiss

I never knew you this way,
Teach me about yourself.
Sitting here in the lamplight,
Our smiles brighter than stars.
I slide my hand along your lap,
My fingers locking with yours.
Hands entwined longingly.
I want your passion,
Lover-boy.1

Your soft lips graze mine,
I never felt a feeling like this.
Sparks flying between us,
Flowing with the energy of emotion.
What a surprise to know
That kisses are so simple
Yet so much more amazing
Than ever imaginable?
Sweetie.2

Your familiar scent flooding
My senses-- all tangled in knots.
I want to feel one more,
One more sensation like flying.
One more kiss to show me,
Exactly what happened that day.
It was such a short moment,
Lost in my nervousness.
Love.

Author notes

This is kinda what a first kiss feels like. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it otherwise. I thought poetry was the perfect way to capture the moment. Nervousness, simplicity, yet packed passion and sparks flying.

I should have waited though...
