Blood stained Ch.2

Drained. Not even a drop left. I look down at the young buck laying life-less beneath me. The Ash has an interesting point of view at times, and i often find myself wondering why i don't just give into my nature, but then i think of her. Alexis. She is the reason that i wont kill humans. I've watched her sense she was born, never knowing that i would feel anything for the child. But she grew, and she shined, and now she is a woman, and a very lovely one at that. What i wouldn't give to just talk to her, make her understand that she doesn't have to live the life that she is. But i can never go to her. She will think me a freak, a monster, just like the rest of them. What is the point of living forever when the one you love cant even know about you or what you truly are?1

"Shane?...I'm sorry that i'm late. I had to feed along the way."
"Oh, Jessica. So you did plan on showing up? Interesting that you didn't think to feed before hand."
"Shane i said i was sorry. Honestly what give you the right to treat me like i'm dirt?"Jessica spat in frustration.
"Ha, dirt? Dirt has better timing then you ever have, and you've had 253 years to get you timing right and still you disappoint me."
"Oh go and burn, i'm here ain't i so just be glad that i showed up at all with your attitude."With that she stalked off into the dark infront of me.2

We walk into the alley behind Alexis' house and wait silently for her. Tonight i plan to talk to her, to meet her and hopefully convince her to be mine. If i have to i shall use force, though i hope it doesn't come to that. But i need her at my side and i'm tired of waiting for her to find me. Jessica had just sat down when i came up behind her. We waited but she never showed, That is when i heard her scream. I wasn't to sure if i imagined it or if it was real but it was there and i was running. Faster then i had ever ran in my 403 years alive. I ran into a park when i saw them. She was near death. Blood spilling and then i saw them. Rouges. Fury filled my mind and i saw red as i charged them. My fist found a face and i heard the sickening snap of bones and felt blood pore over my hand. I grabbed his head and twisted till it came off and fell to the ground. I looked behind me at the other one, plunging my hand into his chest and ripping his heart out. I stood there panting when i heard Jessica walk up behind me.3

"She is close to death, she needs blood."
"Do you really think that she is able to handle the change?"
"Yes,i do"I cut open my wrist and hold it over Alexis' mouth."Here, drink this."And she did slowly at first then faster when her body realised the need for it. Then she slept. 4

"Jessica?"
"Yes Shane."
"I need you to watch her and make sure that she lives. If anything happens to her i will personally burn you myself. Do you understand."
"Yes."Jessica hesitated before continuing."Do you want to take her to the Ash?"
"That will be the best thing for her. She will need to be in a stable environment when she wakes." I state as i look down at her sleeping form. "And she will need blood, fresh would be better then anything."
With that said, i pick Alexis up and start running to the Ash.
