It's time to hunt. I can see my helpless prey, unaware of whats about to hit it. Such mindless creatures they are; stuck at the bottom of the food chain. Its a pity how the think they actually stand a chance against great beasts such as myself. I mean, just look at me! Razor sharp claws, eyes which can pierce through even the thickest bush, marvelous agility. And when I run, oh when I run, not a single blade of grass notices. I have everything I need to survive this game of prey and predator. I can defeat anyone. Anyone but "them". I do not know who they are, these giant creatures. I cannot even say if they are of the same species, they are all so different. Some have dark ant holes, some have coloured. Between the ant holes they have a tiny cliff, and a flat cave under it.Then they have nests of beetles on the top. Oh how I would love to jump into these beetles and kill them all. But the creatures are equipped with pale coloured pebbles. Four pebbles each attached to them, which they use to smash things. And they make these awful noises. Sigh, they are the only ones stopping me from reaching the top of the food chain. They have driven me out of my own territory. Fools, they may be large, but they do not know how well I am adapted to hide myself. 1
Alas in my desire to figure out these creatures, I have lost a sense of self being. I have left my brothers, strayed away from our camouflaged environment. I miss our "who has the longest tail" competitions. I miss laughing at my cousin who lost his own while escaping from a gigantic furry monster. I miss hunting in groups; letting out my perfectly flexible tongue to swallow those delicious flies. I forgot where I came from, I forgot what I am. What am I?2

Hi, thanks for entering my contest
At first I was thinking of tigers and then I read your clue about the title; so then I thought of spiders but I'm not sure that would work for your line 'letting out my perfectly flexible tongue to swallow those delicious flies'. So, I am going to go with a lizard? Am I right?! Either way, this is a great write, one I can tell you really studied your subject carefully as you wrote. Another great entry, best of luck in my contest, and let me know if I am right!
