The car park was abysmal... litter, err... littered it... But it was Joe's one chance of a job...1
He couldn't belive he stooped to this level. This is ridiculous. It's what all the problems he'd been facing had been leading up to...2
But, he was going to do it for the money... the shame burned so much... but he would still do it.3
A car drove up, and Joe walked up to it, the man rolled down his window, and Joe opened his mouth to speak4
"Would you like me to park your car?"5
----6
Joe unlocked the door to his parents house, his parents were asleep. He went to his pearsonal answering machine:7
"You have no new messages"8
"Fuck it.." Joe slurred, before grudgingly marching up the stairs. He opened his door, and his dad was there9
"Where the hell do you think you've been?"10
"What do you mean!? I was at work!"11
"Son, it's 9:00... What time do you call this!?"12
"Dad, I work as a valet, outside a nightclub, this is actually quite early. Anyway, why do you care, I turned 18 two months ago! I should be living by myself, by now! Apartment-hunting, that sort of thing!"13
"Listen son, while living in this house, you will abide by my rules!"14
"Dad, I'm never going to get a job, if I can't stay up past 9:00!"15
"7:00"16
"Oh right, 7:00-- Wait, what do you mean 7:00!?"17
"That was the limit me and your mother agreed on!"18
"And I didn't get a choice! Dad... I'm gonna have to move out..."19
That's when he heard the cocking of a shotgu--20
"What the hell, man!?"21
What?22
"I know the story was supposed to be ridiculous for 'comedy reasons' but he's going to shoot me for threatening to move out!?"23
Yep24
"Dude! I wasn't asking for clarification, you know!"25
Fuck you!26
"Listen, I'm moving out, this is the story of my life anyway, you have to give me some freedom!"27
No I don't, and these 'author talking to the character' things are fucking old...28
"Who gives a shit? It's a gimmick, you know how stupid audiences lap those jokes up..."29
Good point... anyway, do what you want... but don't come crying to me, when you fail in life...30
"But... I need you"31
Fine, I'll come with you....32
Joe stormed out, ignoring the answering machine, which now had the number '1' on it... His father pressed the button33
"You have 1 new message: Mr. Paulson. Hey, congrats, I changed my mind your getting the job!"34
Joe's father looked both ways...35
"Would you like to delete the message, press 1 if so"36
Joe's father, reached for the 1 button, and pressed37

Don't be so mean to Joe!
