"Oh, no, is that Faith Belevere?"1
"It looks like her."2
"Again?"3
"I guess so."4
"I thought she moved to Alabama!"5
"I guess she moved back."6
"Hi Ellie, yo Sal"7
"Just ignore her."8
"Hey guys!"9
Hi, my name's Ellie. In Kindergarten, and second grade, there's this lice ridden girl, named Faith Belevere. 10
She stalks me, like really every where I go, this freakin' girl follows me. Why do I not like this, I have many reasons:11
1.) I don't want lice (I've had it once)12
2.) No one likes a stalker13
3.) All she does is lie14
4.) I have no personal space15
5.) She always repeats those lies, 900 times.16
I thought she and her lice ridden sisters where gone for good, we live in Indiana, and she moved to Alabama in second grade, to be nice, though I hate her guts, I made her and her sister Savannah a "I'll miss you." Card. Even though I hate Faith and barley know her equaly gross, lying sister. 17
Now in sixth grade, she's back! And coinsidentally in Sal and my class, we both hate her.18
I know, I know. We should be nice to her. Her family doesn't care about her, she gets humiliated because of her Fs in every subject and because of her lice.19
Here are the things that have been said to her that I've heard:20
"Do you have lice?" - From my extremly blunt friend Sal (AKA best friend since Kindergarten.)21
"Ellie and I want to play alone today." From Sal22
"Your grades are going downhill and if you don't get them better soon, you will get held back." From Mrs. Harley, our teacher.23
"No, this is only a two-player game, Faith!" - From Sal24
"Faith I'd like to talk to you about lice after lunch." from vice princable.25
And many many more, insults and such. 26
I tried to be friends with her, I really did, at first I ignored her because in second grade before I even knew what the b-word was, she told her mother that I called her it on the bus (she lived down the road from me) I had never heard the b-word, let alone call her it.27
She lies.28
Here are the lies she has told me, in conversations:29
"Next year I get to go to India, my sister is getting married there!" I said 30
"Oh, over the weekend I went to Africa." said Faith31
"Lier." said Sal.32
-----------------33
Lie #234
"I have like, 21 family members, not including pets!" said Sal35
"I have around that much, I think." I said36
"I have over 7,000 aunts and uncles." said Faith37
"That's not true." said Sal38
------------------------39
Lie numro 3.40
"Lets run from Faith today, I don't want her lying to us all day, we can write stories in creative writing class." said Sal41
"Ok, but, if she starts noticing we are running from her, we have to stop, that's mean." I said42
We began running and Faith stopped and sat on a bench for 30 seconds then walks over to us saying "I had a five minute seizure!"43
-------------------------------------------------------------------44
I could go on and on with these stupid lies.45
Later on Sal and I would say "Have you read the book Jacustaf saves his evil twin, by Hallie Martinez?" 46
A book title, and author we completly made up on the spot.47
"Yes."48
"Don't you love the part when Ripto comes in." I asked49
"Yes." said Faith.50
Then she repeats things, like at Halloween. She complained that her costume was uncomfertable.51
"I have to wear this all day and go to a party after school." said Faith52
"That sucks." I said53
"I have to wear this at a party."54
"Oh."55
"I have to wear this all day."56
"Hmm..."57
And let me tell you. You run out of responses once someone tells you the same thing, eight-million times.58
Normally I try to be nice to Faith. Sal is never that nice to her, anymore. She really is annoying. If you met her you'd know and be saying exactly what I say.59
My mother says that when I come home from school there are people who care about me, who will help me and feed me. Then she tells me to imagine going home as Faith. I admit, it'd suck but Faith, she's too annoying!60
Today she was following me around repeating lies, then she layed her lice ridden short, ragged, hair with who knows what in it on my sholder. 61
I jumped and squealed and pushed her away. 62
"Ew get off!" I said, I didn't think about what I was saying before I said it. Anyone would have said that.63
She walked away, she didn't talk to me for the rest of the day. It was kind of nice.64
The next day, everything changed. 65
Faith came to school, quiet. She didn't talk. She didn't answer the questions. She didn't stand for the pledge. 66
After lunch, Sal and I began to walk out of the lunch room. Faith approached us. "Can Ellie and I play alone together today?" she asked. 67
-- I'll always miss Sal, and remember the way she'd laugh, and smile. I expecially liked her irritated look when she was trying to help students with disadvanteges with homework. 68
I heard a loud bang and looked horrifyed. 69
"Sal?" I asked. "SAL!?"70
Faith had shot Sal, she was bleeding. I ran to the office and locked the door, dragging Sal behind me. I called 911. The princable banged on the door "LET ME IN ELLIE HENDRIX!"71
I told the 911 operator what had happened. I sat there. Sal told me to run, she could barley talk. I helped her to a cot, since the nurses room was shared with the office.72
Suddenly I saw that Faith pointed the gun at our teacher.73
I ran out.74
"Faith." I said75
The gun directed at me.76
I stammered with my words, a gun, had never been pointed at me.77
"Faith, what did Mrs. Harley's two little boys do to you?"78
She took a step closer to me.79
"Think about how sad her 7 and 5 year old children would be if there mother was gone!" I said.80
I don't know what Mrs. Harley was thinking, maybe. "I hope Ellie is good at this convensing." I hoped I was too.81
"Faith, can I have the gun?"82
Faith talked.83
"Here is my report, Mrs. Harley."84
Mrs. Harley looked confused.85
"About my place in this world."86
Mrs. Harley nodded "It isn't due yet." she whimpered.87
"Faith's Place in this world is to kill, people with out hearts she said." 88
I snatched the gun out of her hand. How? I don't exactly know, I just know that I did.89
She hit me, I didn't care. I threw the gun out the window. We where on the third floor. Mrs. Harley and I ran. 90
Sal was taken to the hospital, where she died. Her funeral was pretty. It spoke of happy times, rather than bad.91
Mrs. Harley hugged me. She told me "Thank you, Ellie." for saving her life. I hugged her to, I guess that was my place in this world.92
It turns out Faith jumped after her gun, and hit the ground with a thud.93
I guess she thought she had nothing to lose.
