My 'Angel'

My favourite person in the world and also my guardian angel is:1

Optimistic: She's always positive about life and believes that the glass is half full, not half empty. Her words of encouragement always lift me up and pushes me further in life when i'm feeling down. 2

Trustworthy: She is one of the only people I have been able to trust with all my secrets and she was always there for me when I needed a shoulder to cry on. 3

A mind-reader: She reads people like a book. She knows when someone is lying to her and she knows when someone is unhappy just by the way they act. When other people don't understand what i'm talking about, she'll always help me out because she knows what I am trying to say. 4

Ambitious: She set goals for herself and made sure she achieved them and she never gave up on anything. She knew who she wanted to be when she grew up and made sure that she was working towards her dream. She also made sure that others were trying the best they could and helped everyone out with their goals too. 5

Brave: She's not afraid of all the challenges in life and she will do anything to overcome the barriers. She tried new things and she's a risk taker. She spoke for what she believed in, even when others disagreed with her and put her down. 6

Author notes

On the 12th April 2008, this amazing person had to leave me and the rest of the world behind. She died in a car accident because the other driver of the car was drink driving. It just shows us how life can be so cruel and unfair but I have to be strong and optimistic just like she was. She taught me sooooo much about life and i've become a better person knowing her. She's amazing and i am blessed to be able to have her watch over me. She is my guardian 'angel'.

This is a beautiful piece of writing and you made me sad with this because I knew the person as well. Great job Steph and may 'Angel' always be with us!

Strangely, I read your A/N first... and that sort of put me off your write but it made me want to read it at the same time.

It's a very touching write, I'd love to have had a friend like that. She sounds like she was a person who lived life to the very full - never regretting much, always making sure others around her was happy.

A meaningful, emotional read. Finally, a wonderful piece of writing from you! See, you can do more like this. I'm waiting to see more.

What?! My other pieces' weren't wonderful? I am offended!
Yes, i was sad when i was writing this as all the memories came flooding back to me. I can't tell you who this amazing person is...yet. I will soon once the contest is over.
Why did you read the AN first though?

Your other pieces aren't AS wonderful as this one. No need to be offended, S.

I read your A/N first, because when I go to read something I always scroll down right to the bottom. If the story is an unattractive length, I leave. I saw that you had written something for your A/N, so I read it.

Yes, I agree, you should begin to write some more pieces that lean more to a serious side. You write gorgeous pieces when they deal with real life.

Very sad ANs- I'm so sorry for the loss. But I'm glad that you refer to your person as your 'Angel'. That's beautiful. And the words you chose are fantastic... along with the elaborations. Wonderful work here. Thank you for sharing this sentimental piece and good luck
