Maric's Creek-Chapter 2 ROUGH DRAFT

CHAPTER 21

Darrel and Justin rushed down the open field of green. Fresh air brushed their face as they closed into the creek. When they finally approched it they realized that the meeting was near old man Burton Myon's house. They stopped in their tracks right when they saw it.2

"Geez Justan! I didn't knows it waz her! Why did ya bring me along!" he ruffled around. Back and forth.3

"Dang, Darrel." he said grabbing ahold of the swaying boy. "Calm down! Its just Myon's house! Tain't need to be afeared of him! Look de sheruff is her! We'd be fine!"4

"I guess yous are right Justan...buts still! Myon! Dang...I dasen't think anyone is man enough to face hum!"5

"You'd probably be righ'...but whos know..." both of the boys shuffled over to the crowd.6

"This man's house is a menace sheruff! Can't ya see? He's causing sarrow ta all of us! Just tur down da house! Its dat simple!" a scruffy looking man said.7

"Its not that simple, Clark! I can't go tearing down a man's house just because it's an eye soar! I would if I could...but still...who knows if the man is still alive!" he walked towards the door.8

"Na...wha' are ya doin' sheruff?" the town drunk said whobling towards the police officer. "Ya can't be goin' into his house!"9

"Ah...what is da town drunk goin' do 'bout ut? Move aside!" The sheriff pushed the man aside and walked up to the door and knocked. "Mr. Myon...if I's could have a werd?"10

"What...do...ya..wants....from...me" Burton said from behind the door. "I tain't...be causing...no trouble...can't...you...let...me..be?"11

"Awh shucks...seems the poor fellow is trying to talk his way out of it" Justin joked towards Darrel.12

"Mr. Myon...you're house is a eye soar our town! Can ya not see that! Now...we don' need your approval...men..."13

"Don't need his approval?" Isaac said blurting in as he walked towards the house. "My dear sir, you are quite mistaken. You cannot destroy this house"14

"Forigner...ya think ya ken boss us round? Ya can't!" the Sheriff whistled.15

"And whos the say I'm not?" Isaac yelled back. His fist began to take a firm grip around his belt buckle as he approched the police officer.16

"Haha...get away frum mah!" the Sheriff said. He took a push at Isaac, but Isaac turned away and grapped the sheriff's wrist. "Wha' are ya doin'!?"17

Isaac began to bring the wrist behind the police officers back. He then took his knee too the man's chest. "Damn Isaac was right. You see, sir...I don't listen to any man who can't take a single push at me...you leave this house alone...disperse people!" Isaac echoed across the eary landscape around the house. Everyone began to left.18

"Who's dis fella? Thinks he's de boss uf us! No sir!" Justin said walking towards the man. "What's yer business here?"19

Isaac chuckled as he looked at the boy. "What is a silly little boy like you doing at a meeting like this. Haven't your parents taught you better" 20

"Shucks mister...I ain't care fer ma parants! Dey dun gone almos' lef' me...dey did! An' now we got a yeller belly thinking he's better den us!"21

"Little boy...you need to understand...I am better than you...now scat!" he pushed Justin to the ground.22

"You ain't allowed ta push ma friend like dat!" Darrel said running towards the man.23

"Ah...your back up has arrived" Isaac snickered as Darrel rushed at him. When Darrel got close enough, Isaac took a swing at him with the palm of his hand. "You boys better stay out of my way...don't make me warn you again" With that he headed to Burton's door and knocked.24

"Dang...he's outta ear range..." Justin said. "Hey...Darrel...go up there..."25

"Ya jus' foolin' righ'?" Darrel said.26

"C'mon Darrel! Don't be uh baby! Go up there!" Justin said pushing him along. Darrel went behind the bush and Justin faked to walk away.27

"-So you understand why I'm here?" Isaac said to the confused man. 28

"Yeah...I got yer drift...damn I ain't see a yup like you sents the olen days..back at de forge..."29

"Well...you help me out. You hear? There will be a great award if you do...I'll be back for any information you can give me later tonight...i'll bring my friend. He'll like you" Isaac smirked.30

"Alrighty...sounds mighty fine...see ya than" Burton said closing the door. Darrel rolled over as Isaac strolled down the path. As the night fog began to roll over the field...Darrel still sat still.31

"Darrel wha' da hell are ya doing?" Justin said rushing up too him. He was huffing away.32

"Dang...Justan! I herd 'im! He says dat he was gonna come back and they was gonna talk mores abou' some thingy...and he was gonna bring his friend!"33

"Slow down Darrel!" Justin said grabbing ahold of him. "When day comin'?"34

"I dunoa! Days jus' says dat he was comin' back! Whada we do?"35

"I say we wait...we sees what dem men are up too...ya up fer it?"36

"Shure...whys not. But...wha' abou' pap?" Darrel said nervously looking around.37

"Ah...don't ya worry 'bout him...now les' go hide in dem bushes!" Both Justin and Darrel ran over to the bushes...without stopping...little did the know this small peek was to unfold an adventure.
