Emerald and Crimson (Chapter Four)

Chapter Four1

Tom stood shocked, staring at the door Alanna had run through, as Hermione and Ron suddenly surrounded him. 3

'Lord Riddle!'  Hermione exclaimed, blinking at the dark haired man.  'Where did Alanna run off to?!'4

'S-she ran off...' Tom murmured, still mesmerized by the door.5

'We know she ran off, you bastard!' Ron bellowed, glaring at the man.  'What the hell did you do to her?!'6

'Ron, no,' Hermione murmured, glancing distractedly around the room. 'Come on, we have to find her, before...' She gave Ron a look, before running towards the door.7

Ron nodded, and started to follow, but Tom grabbed his arm snarling, 'Before what?!'8

Ron glared at Tom, refusing to answer his question, instead he growled, 'Let me go.'9

'Before what?!' Tom snapped.10

Ron glared some more, until Severus and Lucius ran up.  Lucius glanced from Ron's glaring face to Tom's snarling one, and exclaimed, 'What the devil is going on here!'11

'Tom, let Lord Weasley go.' Severus murmured softly, placing a hand on Tom's arm.  'He needs to go help Lady Granger locate Miss. Hart, I believe?'12

Ron nodded curtly as Tom released him.  He murmured, 'Good evening, Lord Snape.  Lord... Riddle.'  Ron glanced at Lucius last, a delicate blush staining his pale cheeks, 'Thank you for inviting us, Lord Malfoy.'13

Lucius smirked, 'My pleasure, Lord Weasley, have a good evening.'14

Ron smiled faintly, before rushing from the room to help Hermione find Alanna.15

Then, Lucius turned to Tom and sighed, 'What is your deal lately, Tom?!  Or... at least within the last evening!'16

Severus just shook his head, 'Why in heavens name did you kiss her, Tom?'17

'Kiss her... You kissed her?!'  Lucius exclaimed, shocked.18

Tom closed his eyes, and clenched his fist.  'She... Sev, she's special!  She's the most beautiful... most beautiful woman, I've ever spoken to!'19

Severus stared, 'Tom... I've never heard you speak about a woman like this...'20

'I know!  I... I just want... I need a chance!'  Tom sighed.21

Severus nodded, and Lucius blinked, 'YOU kissed a woman?!'22

'Shut up, Luc.  Go find Lord Weasley and ask him for Miss. Hart's address, before they leave.'  Severus murmured.23

Lucius pursed his lips, only the idea of seeing Ron again kept him from refusing, 'Fine, but this conversation is so not over, Tom.'24

Lucius walked off in search of Lord Weasley, and Severus glanced around the room.  The crowd was slowly thinning out, he blinked, 'I do believe a majority of the guest are either gone... or leaving, Tom.  Luc, will get her address, and you can go about courting her from there, alright?'25

Tom gave Sev a tight smile and nodded, 'Alright, Sev.  I'm going to go on up to bed, goodnight.'26

'Goodnight, my friend.'27

Tom closed his eyes for a moment, before walking from the ballroom.  He went to his room, and changed from his suit, quickly, before sitting on his bed.  He lay down, his mind still occupied with the beautiful woman he had twirled around the dance floor.28

Eventually, Ron and Hermione had found Alanna, but she refused to talk about it, tears pouring down her pale cheeks.  They decided to just take her home and let her sleep it off.  30

Alanna floated through the halls of the Potter Castle, tears still pouring down her pale cheeks.  She wandered aimlessly through the halls, her thoughts wrapped up in the man who had kissed her so sweetly.31

She barely heard the doorbell chime, and was shocked when Jason, the butler, arrived to tell her she had visitors.32

She walked  quickly towards the parlor, a radiant smile on her face, she instantly forgot who she was. 'Hello!  How are you guys this eventing?!'33

Sirius looked up at the girl in shock, 'Hi... we're fine.  Do I know you?'34

Alanna blinked, 'Oh... no.  I'm sorry.  I just got a bit carried away. � I should introduce myself.  I'm Alanna.  Alanna Lily Hart.'35

Sirius nodded, politely, 'Miss. Hart, is Harry home this evening.'36

Remus stared at the dark haired girl... and blinked, 'Harry... why are you wearing a dress?  And make-up... and...' he blinked again.  'When did you get boobs?'37

Sirius gasped, 'Harry?'38

'Wow,'  Alanna grinned.  'I didn't expect you to figure it out so quickly, Remi.  Hi, Siri!'39

Sirius sniffed, disdainfully, 'Why would you wear something... like... like... THAT?'40

Alanna blinked.  'Are you judging me, Sirius Jordan Black?!'  Harry/Alanna asked, shocked.41

Sirius just stared, disgust evident in his features.42

'You... are NOT my judge.  I'm SICK of people judging me!'  Harry/Alanna growled.43

Remus gasped, 'No, Harry, he didn't mean that!'44

'Don't try and tell him what I do or don't mean, Remus.' Sirius sneered, 'If you're dressing like a woman, you aren't the man I thought you'd be. Especially being James' son... if you're a man at all, that is!'45

'SIRIUS!'  Remus exclaimed, horrified, his eyes widened in shock, as his boyfriend dug himself a deep grave.46

'I'm not the man you wanted me to be, Sirius Jordan Black?!' Harry/Alanna cried, angrily.  'Well, I don't give a damn what you think anymore, because I'm a better man than you'll ever be.  Now get out of my house, you bastard!'47

Sirius glared, and stormed out of the castle.48

'Oh my god, I'm so sorry, Harry!' Remus murmured, tears falling down his pale cheeks.  'I can't believe he did that.  I'll talk to him... I promise!  I love you, Harry.  Whether you want to dress like a man, woman, or dog... I don't care, as long as you're still the beautiful person I know you are on the inside.'49

'I love you, too, Remi, thank you,' Harry/Alanna whispered, giving the taller man a hug, before watch the man follow his boyfriend out of the house.50

Then, Harry ran up to his room, threw on his pajama's and fell on the bed.  Sobs wracked his slender body, as he cried himself into a semi-dreamless sleep.51

Remus followed Sirius out of the house, glaring at his best friend and lover.  'How could you say those things to him, Sirius?!'53

'How could I say those things, Remus!  The boy is dressing like a woman!'  Sirius exclaimed.54

'He's a grown man, and perfectly capable of making his own decisions.'55

Sirius sneered, 'It sounds like you're taking his side.'56

'Someone has to!  You are his godfather, Sirius, and you've turned against him.  Who exactly does he have left, Sirius, you tell me!' Remus cried.  Sirius was silent, and Remus went on, 'EXACTLY!  Sirius...' Remus sighed.  'It's not that I object to your being a bastard.  Don't get me wrong.  You are a bastard most of the time. It's the fact that you're being such a stupid bastard that I object to!'57

'Excuse you?!'58

'Your godson needed your support, and all you did was sneer... and pretend you're better than him.'  Remus stated, sadly, walking ahead of his boyfriend. 'And he's right, Sirius. If this is how you are going to behave, he really is a better man than you'll ever be.'59

Sirius looked dumbstruck, 'REMUS!'60

'Oh, God... Don't speak to me right now, Sirius,' Remus whispered, tears falling down his pale cheeks. 'I can't stand to look at you right now... much less hear you speak...' Sirius sighed, as Remus continued, 'You've disappointed me, Sirius, and I'm willing to bet James and Lily are disappointed in you as well.'61

Sirius stared at the ground as they walked home in silence, forcing him to think about his unwise decisions.62

When the arrived home, Sirius followed Remus to their bedroom, and murmured, 'Remus, I'm sorry.  I... I was just shocked, I guess. I didn't mean it... I-I love Harry.'63

Remus sighed, wiping the tears from his eyes. 'It's not me you need to be apologizing to, Sirius, it's Harry.'64

'I know,' Sirius whispered. 'But I need your forgiveness as well, Remi.  Just as much as his.'65

'You had mine before you ever asked, Siri. I love you.' Remus whispered, sadly.66

'I love you, too, beautiful...' Sirius murmured, pulling the smaller man into his arms. 'I'll apologize to Harry first thing in the morning.'67

Remus smiled, softly, 'Thank you, Sirius.' He buried his head in his lovers shoulder.68

'No problem, darling,' Sirius replied, kissing the brown haired man gently. 'Come to bed, love.'69
