The Cult - Chapter 1

I didn't know what was going on, and I still don't. I was lying on a stone tablet, which was on-top a marble floor, and it had a massive circle around it. There were 5 or 6 people standing on the lines on the circle, not looking at me, but looking at the floor. They were all whispering words, it sounded Latin.
"Aruma, Omega, Tilta, Murosha". I didn't understand, what were they trying to do? I had done nothing, the previous evening I was working at an office, sipping my coffee while working on a story for a newspaper, nothing special, nothing which could cause any harm, as far as I was aware anyway. They stopped chanting the words, and took their hoods off, they were all men, aged 30-40 I'd say, but they seemed full of power, I could see it in my eyes... well, the corner of my eye. They started chanting again though, this time they were moving their hands around, were they magicians, was I at some hellish birthday party? No, I was having a nightmare... at least thats what I told myself. After chanting for a minute or so, the tablet I was laying on began to shake, and it grew, much, much taller, was I some part of a sick joke? Thats one of the many theories I had in my head at the time.
Suddenly, the chains that held me on the tablet began to release, slowly, but they were. This is my time to get out of this hellish nightmare, I thought to myself, so I started screaming, as loud as I possibly could, hoping that I would wake up. There was enough room to move my arms, so I pinched myself, literally, this didn't work either. A blue light began to flash on me after the chains had let me go, I knew it was going to bring me down, but could I get out?
I eventually landed on the ground, but the blue energy still bound me together. "Don't try to run, Sam", one of the men said "We know what you're thinking...". I started to become very nervous, was I on Prank Patrol? No... I'm too old for that, unless Derek Achorah has a psychic prank show, they must really know what I'm thinking...
"What the hell do you want?!" I shouted, feeling an overwhelming sense of anger, but I also felt extremely nervous.
"Ah Sam" said one of the other men "You'll find out".
