This Is Usually The Part Where People Scream. chapter 1.

A big tree just jumped out of no where. After I jumped. Instead of hitting the ground, I landed in the tree. That's when an ambulance pulled up. A paramedic climbed up and plucked me out of the tree and put me on a stretcher. My body was all scratched up and my leg felt like it was broken. 2

When I got to the hospital, they made me explain what happened. I told them everything. 3

This is my last day at Albertina Kerr. My caseworker said that when I get out of here, I'm going to a new foster mom, a new school. I didn't really like the idea, but oh well. 5

I yawned, got out of bed, and bumped into the wall. The rooms here were really small, about the size of my walk-in closet that my mom's house had. Rubbing my head, I went over to pile of clothes laying in the corner. I picked out some blue skinny jeans with black leopard spots on it and an Escape The Fate shirt(I still dress the same... Yup). 6

I got dressed and walked out of my room with my journal. 7

"So, last day here?" my friend Darren asked me when I got out to the unit. I nodded and sat down and opened my journal. I started writing untill a staff member said I couldn't write in the unit. They told me a long time ago that I could only write in my room but I never did.8

I got up and walked to my room.9

"Yo, I need someone to open my door," I told Renee. Renee was one of the staff members. She came over and unlocked my door. I tossed my journal on the bed and went back to the unit.10

I decided to call my caseworker and ask what time she was gonna be here to get me. I asked Renee if I could use the phone, so she went into the office and dialed the number for me, and handed the phone out the window to me.11

After I got off the phone I knocked on the window and she took the phone back and hung it up. My caseworker said she'd be here about 5pm or so.
