The one on my neck says "L'espoir est tout ce que j'ai" (hope is all I have), I got it when I was 16 and made the decision to move out of my house as soon as I was 17. 2

The one on my calf is flames on the bottom, and the words "Dignité, fierté, et liberté" (Dignity, pride, and freedom) falling into the fire, then it says "Espoir, amour, foi" (hope, love, faith), floating upward. The words falling are the things that my father basically crushed, my dignity, my pride, and my freedom, the whole time I Lived with him, the words floating upward are the things that saved me, hope, love, and faith.
