1 month, 4 days. School starts soon. 2 days actually. I'm honestly not looking forward to school. It won't be the same without. dare I think his name, Alex there.1
I looked around the halls. This school was so new. The dreadful high school wasn't all that bad. As a freshman, I bearly knew anyone. Throughout the day I'd only seen a few of my friends from the previous year.2
7th hour, the bell rang to end the day that had passed by so quickly. I was walking toward the bus when a group of boys walked toward me. They were the boys that used to bully Alex. They approched me with a depressing frown on their faces.3
"Hey, umm Sky." One of the boys said in a whisper. "Were really sorry. We were just being dumb kids, we.." I raised my hand up, cutting him off. I nodded my head and walked toward the bus.4
I sat down near the back of the bus when someone randomly appeared next to me. 5
"How are you?" I looked up to see a boy staring at me with a big smile on his face. I looked away. "Not one to talk ay?" I shook my head no. "Okay, fine." He slowly went to go switch seats.
"Wait." I said quickly. My voice sounded odd again. It almost hurt to talk. I cleared my throut and attempted to talk again. "Hi."
"There you are." He laughed a little. "So how are you?"
"I'm?" I wandered. "I'm okay."
"Are you sure?" He questioned me by my slight studdering. I still wasn't sure about my feelings.
"Yeah. I am."
"You don't look very happy. Is something wrong?" He looked at me with curious eyes.
"Well believe it or not, this is the first time I've actually talked in about a month." The boy laughed a little.
"Why?" I looked down. "You don't have to tell me. It's okay."
"No. It's fine. My best friend, he killed himself." I said quietly with a frown on my face. The boy frowned to.
"Oh. I see." He looked down for a moment. He looked back up at me. "So, what's your name?"
"I'm Sky." My voice cracked a little.
"Well Sky, it's very nice to meet you. I'm Danny." Danny smiled at me and held out his hand. I gradded it and somewhat tightly shook it. I forced out a smile for him. It was my first smile in weeks.
