Mirrored Face

Jamie sat in her english class, they were supposed to being working on a test. But she just couldn't concentrate, she kept thinking about Allen and everything that had happened. 1

'I don't think I've met him before...' she thought absently as she tapped her pencil against the paper.2

A cough from one of the girls made her look over. She'd written nearly a whole page. Jamie looked down at her page and a bad feeling swept over her as she starred at the two words written on the page. The next fifteen minutes were a blur for Jamie as she wrote at a pace she'd never written before. When the bell rang she leant her head on the desk letting out a sigh of relief.3

'I wonder if Allen finished maths. I'm guessing he's probably a genius.'4

Jamie's face went red when she realised she had been thinking about him the whole time.Standing up she walked out of the classroom heading to her locker. She thought about what would happen if Jackson and the others were there and began to worry.5

She didn't have to though,when she got there she found Allen standing by her locker, he gave her a slight wave calling her over.6

"Hey,did you survive?"7

The question took Jamie by suprise and for a moment she thought he might've been watching her english class. 'that can't happen' she told herself sternly and smiled8

"Y-yeah, I think I was alright." she murmered fiddling with her shirt.9

Allen watched her smiling still, grabbing her hand he led her outside and under the trees towards the back of the school.10

"I-I didn't grab my lunch" Jamie said suddenly remembering.11

"You can share mine, I made it, but it might not be much good"12

Sitting down he let her try some. She was silent for a moment and Allen watched her wondering.13

"Its....."14

"Huh..?"15

"It's Amazing!!" Jamie exclaimed starring at him. "Your an amazing cook!"16

Allen looked away a bit taken by suprise "Y-you shouldn't say that to a guy...c-cooking isn't exactly a manly thing to do..." He was glad she couldn't see how red his face was going and closed his eyes. 17

When he opened them again Jamie was leaning in front of him starring at his face.18

"Ah!" He fell backwards in suprise and Jamie put her hand to her mouth supressing a giggle.19

"Am I that frightening?" she asked sitting against a tree.20

"N-no. You just suprised me." Allen sat up and then watched as Jackson walked across the grass towards them. 21

"Have you got the money?" Jackson asked starring at Allen. He'd shoved his hands in his pockets and Jamie noticed he seemed to be in a bad mood. Unknown for better or worse, he was also ignoring her.22

Allen dug his hand in his pocket and pulled out his wallet. Taking out a $10 dollar note he handed it to Jackson and Jackson stormed off.23

"Why'd you give him your money? He isn't bullying you is he?"24

Jamie's mind was overflowing with mafia movies she'd watched. She like mystery a lot and had many movies stashed in her room.25

Allen laughed leaning back "Hm? Bullying me? I think it's a bit hard for him to bully his older cousin. Besides, he hasn't been in an actual fight in his whole life."26

Jamie blinked "Ah, I see...never an actual fi- Wait what?!"27

Allen looked at her "Hm?"28

"Did you say cousin?!" Jamie tried to work that out, there was no way they were related, No way that guy was related to Allen.29

Seeing the confused look on her face Allen smiled again "Relax, were only cousins. I moved here after our families decided to move closer together. Both mum's live in the same house so I get the allowance and split it since I'm older." He saw she was still confused and put his hand on her shoulder "Don't worry about the details. I don't get it either."30

Jamie blinked again then smiled "So that's why I hadn't seen you before!" she was glad she'd worked that out, she wouldn't want to have not noticed him for this long. "Wait..but how did you know me? Don't tell me Jackson-"31

Allen nodded "He mentioned you a few times"32

Jamie's head was swirling with questions and she almost didn't hear the bell ring. Allen stood up stretching.33

"Well I've gotta go."34

Jamie stood up smiling "Alright"35

Allen walked off and when he was about 3 metres away turned around and shouted "Let's keep meeting okay!" he ran off before she could reply.36

Jamie was left standing under the tree, a look of suprise and happiness on her face. 'Allen...Hehe.' she giggled inside her mind and suddenly snapped out of it after 4 minutes.37

"Oh no! Class!"
